  my hair

  lately ive been getting alot of negative comments from brothers,sisters and others about the length of my hair.

  i mean sure its long but theres nothing wrong about it.

  is there anything in the sciptures about hair length in men.. god its ridiculous when others try to put you down.. well you can judge for yourself.. .

  i don't have a question, but i'm new here and i thought i would talk about my past a little bit, to hopefully make some new friends.. .

  i was raised as a jw, well sort of my mom was married to a jw for awhile, then she married my dad and went to the meetings off and on.

  when i was growing up i was made to go to them.

  at the circuit assembly, my mother mentioned to me that the society is warning of a new danger.

  there are witnesses that are on the internet reading apostate things but are still members of the congregation.

  they are slowly being infiltrated by the 'apostates' and are still amongst us.

  My Good Deed for the Day

  the jews have a concept of doing a good deed on sabbath, it's called the sabbath mitzvah.

  i did mine today.

  i went out to the hospital to visit a friend of mine.

  That's great Yerusalyim! I have been toying with a similar idea for awhile. A pioneer sister showed me her hospital "magazine route" and I thought I might just follow her route, to do what you did.

  That would really feel good.

  the messianic apocalypse (4q521) consists of eleven fragments and the script is dated to 100 b.c.

  the poem incorporates psalm 146:6-7 and isaiah 61:1 and shows the characteristics of the anticipated jewish messiah.

  i'm not baptized, but i do go out in service, not much now that i'm getting a post secondary education.

  i wasn't raised a jw and this is where i run into a lot of problems, the things i like to do don't really jive with the wts.

  i played comptive sports in high school and college.

  Thank you for your post. I understood every word - I've been there. (Evidently I have a bizarre mind! )

  I experienced the same feelings for some 30 years - don't follow my example! Jehovah's Witnesses do NOT speak for God, and if you turn your back on their misleading, doctrine changing, judgemental organization you are NOT turning your back on God or Jesus or YOUR MOTHER. Her beliefs are hers only. Please don't let anyone use emotional blackmail or emotional extortion on you!

  Be your own person. When you distance yourself from that controlling, uncaring, pretentious organization, you will be shocked at how much happier and more at peace you are.
