Yes, I've always felt Jehovah was a child abuser and just an all-around egotistical bully too. I was never able to love such a person/god, in all the decades in or out of the organization.
i was thinking today about my business.
i've been working in the field of educational therapy for the past 4 years, helping children and adults with learning challenges.
in the past year, i started working with infants as well, supporting their first year motor development.
That's wonderful, tall penguin. So good to be able to let go of the responsibility - the intense sense of responsibility that is, for others' lives, well being, actions.
We were taught and pushed to be so intrusive about our concern for others....But even aside from that, to be out from under that pressure is so nice. Glad to hear you're happier!
Interesting that you say your working in a book store helped bring you to your recent realizations. I've just started working in a major book store too, and it has had me thinking too. Funny. It's like a little fantasy world, where nothing really matters all that much; it's all for entertainment, nothing to get all worked up about, as you say. Big, big change from my past jobs too. Interesting!

the publishing process started last april and seemed to have stalled over the summer.. i received the proof copy last week and was quite surprised that the book would be released that soon.

I'm always embarrassed to admit that I have never enjoyed poetry...I find myself impatient when I read it, and I know that's supposed to say something quite negative about me. But I admire those with the talent and the drive to write and be published!!!
i been drinking alot of coffee these days.
i start off my day with four shots of espresso, than a few hours later i'll make a pitcher of frozen latte's and i usually will burn thru a pot if im out working on the ocean.
i even got to the point where i grind all my coffee myself...
I've been a coffee drinker for many years and the thought of not having a strong cup of it in the morning was very unsettling. It only happened if I had run out of coffee, milk, bottled water, or time.
I'll still have a weak half-cup from time to time...sometimes there's just nothing like coffee, is there? But I wanted to switch to green tea once I re-learned that coffee can interfere with weight loss; and I had been on an annoying plateau for months. Something about Oprah and Dr. Perricone and a guarantee that you'll lose 10 pounds in 6 weeks just by switching to green tea. So you can bet I switched! This morning I have Jasmine-Green Tea blend. Very fragrant and lovely tasting.
A very important side benefit for me is I find I'm much more calm and I really need that. I can be rather obnoxious with my jumpiness and my startle reflex, especially as a passenger in someone's car....
i took kate, my girlfriend of between the last five and ten years (depending how you define girlfriend) to paris this weekend and proposed.
i had a couple of scenarios mapped out, but was playing it by ear as to the right moment.. on saturday night when we sat down to eat at a restaurant the waiter asked me if i "had got engaged to the lady yet", and then said "if not, i will".
i'm sure he does it to every foreign couple where the women isn't wearing a ring but i could not believe it that one .

so stew meat was taken out last evening at approx 6:30pm and was left out until 7 am.
it was laid face down on the metal stove so it thawed fairly quickly, leaving it at room temp for many hours.
so at 7am this morning, it was put in the refridgerator and then at 9:30am taken out to be cooked for a stew.. .
I would be uncomfortable with the possible condition of the meat, but if it smelled fine I might cook it.
I'd be a little more concerned with your evident approaching nervous breakdown. Or are you just a carrier?
well, it's hard to believe, but i'm finally ready to go on my world travels that i've been planning for so long.
seriously, i've been trying to get out of here since way back in my witness days, at least four or five years.
finally, i've gotten everything lined up, all the loose ends tied - i am on my way.. i leave this thursday for my first leg: 3 months in japan!

it feels soooo good having finished the last assignment for the open university courses i've been doing - the 18th one this year .
now i just have to revise for the exams (3 of them over 2 days) ... and if i get at least 40% then i pass, get an extra qualification and we get extra immigration points to get us on our way to canada.
anything extra is a bonus ... distinctions would be nice but i need to get 85% in the exams for that.. although i resent the impact of the wts on my life and not being able to go to university when i should, this actually isn't a bad way to do it - you don't run up massive debts like current students do and because you have more experience probably do better at a subject than if you are starting out.
