As a newly freedmind I an very pumped up about them. It may be expensive but I need to make up for almost 26 years of lost time.

What a blessing to leave the Cult
by ElderSmurf inthis is our first christmas as a family after leaving the cult that defiles gods name.
its been a good year, not only have we left the cult but so have most of our family.
its wonderful to finally be free of the hateful/doublefaced society and to finally see how others worship the almighty god.

It is very sad that the WTS targets the inexperienced ones for their work. They are just like a lion looking for the easiest prey to devour. The WTS looks for the lame or the young or the sick and makes them grand promeses and dupes them into doing their bidding. This makes me sick!!!

I really feel for him he's got a long hard road ahead. Especially being mislead for his whole life. His whole world will be turned upside down. Just let him know that many others who have gone down this road will be there for him in his time of need. We will try to show him what "true" brotherly love is about. Just try to prepare him for the shock that he is going to receive and try to be there for him yourself.

How to change 1914
by Bendrr inchances are this post will find it's way to the eyes of the spies in brooklyn but what the hell.
i'm here to help, even if it means sending a crate of ammo to the enemy.. as a rule i stay out of discussions of the empire's doctrinal issues.
not that i don't read them, i just usually don't have anything to add.

What Music Do You LOVE To Listen To? What Do You HATE?
by minimus ini love r&b, soul, neo-soul, and "classic" disco.
certain groups and performers i've seen and enjoyed were earth, wind & fire, marvin gaye, anita baker, the temptations, luther vandross, janet jackson, and literally hundreds more.
i don't care for country/western, punk rock or heavy metal..........what do you like/don't like?

METALLICA BABY!!!!! THEY ARE ROCK GODS!!! I like all of their music (except the new one). but in general I love metal and hardcore music. I really don't like hip hop that much but i can tollerate it for the most part. I also don't like classical that much.

Non Jw and Jw can the relationship last?
by Dayshdeess ini have recentley fallen for a very nice female.
she's in her early twenties and i am 31, age we dont have a problem with and to be honest and soppy we truly love each other, her family have disowned her because of what she believes, my family have their doubts but again thats not a problem, i value my familys opinions who have already voiced their doubts, but i would like to make this work, albeit for her beliefs.. i feel she has been shown this way, firstly by her best friend who was born into it and has recentley been disfellowshipped for falling for a non jw, and also by things which have happened to her in her short life.
i knew after the first month that she was a jw, but she kept telling not to worry, as it wouldnt affect our future.

The old saying that oil and water don't mix applies well here. As a person who very recently got out of the JWs i can tell you of quite a few people who were a mixed couple religously. there was always a constant conflict as to how things would go as far as their childern were concerned. I don't know if you both are wanting kids or notw would you feel about them being raised as a jw? How will you react when they are being constantly riddiculed for not participating in b-days, Christmas, Halloween, Valentines day, the pledge, or dating other young people. It is a very hard life on a young one. I hope that you really think this whole thing thru seriously before you make this commitment. And not to sound like a jerk but, if you decide that you can't live with the situation if she is a stick to it witness she will not give you a way out unless you commit adultry. Like i said i don't want to sond like a jerk but this is somthing to seriously consider. What ever you do be true to yourself and don't do things just for her. Best wishes to you in your decisions.

I went to 2 christmas parties the one for my company and one at the party center where my fiancee works. At my party my best friend made a request to the dj and dedicated it to me and my fiancee. Can you guess what it was? He had the dj play the freeking song "why don't we get drunk and screw". Can you believe that? he did that right in front of my whole company my fiancee got about as red as a fire truck. But i guess it was a good omen though if you know what i mean. the next night at her party we ended up singing kareoke to that same song. All in all it was a blast.
