  I got a great gift from Santa.....

  Disneyland Not What It Used To Be?

  disneyland not what it used to be?.

  like most, i love disneyland (dl).

  well, i went to dl x-mass day (the original, in california).

  I've never been to Disneyland, just Disneyworld. I don't know how different the two parks are. I thought Disneyworld was pretty nice and verrrry clean. But, it was also the middle of June and totally packed. When we went to Universal Islands of Adventure in November it was totally different but not as clean. Still nice though.

  on reflection of a few of the recent threads about the past year, and the ensuing one i had pause to think about some of my priorities in life.

  y'know family is always family, and that has to be the closest bond - right up there with life-partner (but you get to choose the latter .

  below (and currently my avatar) is a pic of my eldest nephew, taken about a year ago.. frankly i don't know what i'd do if anything happened to him.

  WHAT DID YOU GET FOR CHRISTMAS????

  from hubby's employer we got three paid days off, a huge fruit basket, and a ham.

  i got cards from friends on the forum,

  a beautiful package from country woman chock full of treats from the netherlands, and lovely candles (((thank you doll, we were so excited to recieve your gifts))),

  Freelife got me nintendo gamecube with all the zelda games (wooo hoo! I LOVE zelda) Tons of different things with palm trees on them. My son got me a barbie with exercise equipment and a sticker book. LOL I absolutely loved Christmas and my birthday this year!!! Freelife made me the best dinner of crab legs and shrimp!!! (Forget the traditional ham, we aren't the traditional family) Hopefully he will post something to tell how his first christmas was!!

  I just had a birthday yesterday so I can tell you that aging definately scares me! The fact that someday I might have to depend on someone else to take care of me totally scares me. The thing about death that scares me is the not knowing. I don't know how exactly to explain it. I just want to know that I will have done everything I wanted and more, and that everyone one of my family and friends knows that I love them and appreciate them when my time comes.
