  i'm not cheap, i'm not trying to scam ray's estate out of $15, i just want to download the book to my palm so i can read it when i get a chance.

  i'd grab it from the library, but it's not the sort of coffee-table book i need lying around the house at this point in my life!.

  one thing i took pride in as a witnesss was that we knew our bible.

  we could talk to any clergymen and smugly decimate them with our knowledge of the "truth".

  God and the Concept of Time

  jw premise: god created jesus, and then together they created everything else.. fact: time and space require at least two points to exist.

  you cannot reference time or space with only one thing.. so before god created jesus, there was no way to measure time.

  I would like to jump in. You said perhaps, that in the beginning God created time by creating Jesus. How about, with foreknowledge, He was aware that He would need a means by which man could be reunited with Him, and he came down Himself in the mode of Jesus, the Son, to bring more people(the Jew first and then the Gentile)into reunion with Him.

  1.IF that was the case God sure picked a screwy long winded way of reconciling man back to himself. Why put man in physical form anyway? why not make them spirits like the other angels. God must have wanted suffering and pain and death for humans. After all he had foreknowledge.

  2. why show favoritism to the Jew first? Why have the Jews kill all those good for nothing gentiles for 4000 years and take their virgins for themselves to play with?

  In the end, maybe God doesn't even know we're here...

  Finally a comment that makes sense of all this.

  I think, most days anyway, this is the most likely scenario. If he cared he would do something about the mayhem so long running in this world we live in. If there is a God he musta found new toys to play with and has long forgotten about us.

  IF he had the forknowledge to know we would screw up this bad he should a made our makeup a little different.

  YEP, I READ ALL OF THE COMMENTS AND CHALLENGES AND THE WELL RESEARCHED REPLIES.

  NOW I FIND MYSELF JUST AS CONFUSED AND CONFLICTED ABOUT ALL THIS, AS I WAS AT THE START.

  THIS HAPPENS EVERY TIME I TRY TO FIND OUT WHAT ALL THESE RELIGIOUS BELIEFS AND TEACHINGS ARE ALL ABOUT.

  I KEEP HOPING THAT GOD/JESUS WILL DO A REVALATION ON ME.

  SOME SPIRITUAL EXPERIENCE THAT WILL GIVE ME THE ANSWERS AND ALL I GET IS ANOTHER GOD DAMNED HEADACHE.

  In extreme and unusual cases as such, I turned over control to Jesus, for he is the head of the congregations.

  Just how exactly did you do this Sword? Secondly is not the prayers that are prayed b4 the meeting supposed to invite Jesus presence into the meeting? Thirdly, why would the holy spirit point the elders to a scripture instead of telling them the right decision to make. If the spirits can vulcan mind meld a scripture into the elders head to give them a correct decision from why not simply lead them to an understanding of to df or not to df.
