on what basis did god so love the world?.
the world of mankind had been condemned to death by god's curse in eden!.
god viewed mankind as "dust on the scales".

But, pontificating puerile pettifoggery prevents the possibility
LOL, how on earth do you come up with this stuff. I had to look up two of those words in that sentence.

Thank you Sylvia!

I guess there's no need to remind you that there were a lot of bad guys in the Bible that were chosen by God to do His will. As a matter of fact, satan was annointed, God told us this...did God specifically tell us you were annointed? Who's to say that Terry isn't used by God to show us your vanity...
love michelle
I am curious; where does it say in the bible where satan was annointed? Thanks, Tor
i had a post the day before memorial about what is wrong with the service, thanks for the many responses.
i have not been comfortable at that service for years (passing and not eating?
), and i was always taught only anointed partake, and that only anointed were in the first century christian congregation.
Just curious Leo, do you believe in the heavenly hope for yourself?
Thanks,

Lev. 1:
he shall offer it of his own voluntary will at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation before the LORD. 4And he shall put his hand upon the head of the burnt offering; and it shall be accepted for him to make atonement for him.
When first the priest and then the Jew laid his hand upon the head of the sacrificial animal, the sin of the offerer was transferred onto the innocent (and costly) animal. It was the sin that was slain, not the animal. The lesson was that you cannot get rid of your sin by yourself. It must first be transferred onto an innocent sacrifice and then slain. Let the blood flow.... rivers of it, over and over again. Don't like it? Then stop sinning. You can't you say?
This was never taught to us in the kingdom hall because it would only be a short jump to willingly placing our sin onto Jesus..... Satan would never allow this teaching in his Halls.
Perry,
1. how is the sin transferred to someone innocent?
2. How do you slay sin and how is sin slain and not the animal? You said the animal was not slain but sin was.
forgive me if this has been posted here before.
i just read about a comet that is now heading our way that will come closer to us than our moon.
this comet will be visible in earth's skies on april 13th ( good friday, the day of christ's death ) in the year 2029. it will then return exactly seven years later on april 13 ( easter sunday, the day of christ's resurrection ) in the year 2036. it is said that its 2029 pass through the earth's skies and its gravitational pull may alter its orbit just a little bit so that upon its return in 2036 it may strike the earth.
yep, there is a devil!.

there are many new ones on this board who may not have seen this.
my old friend alan feurerbacher who has done an unbelievable amount of scholarly research on many subjects must have spent about two or three thousand years researching virtually every aspect of the biblical flood story, and am providing the link to this subject (together with links to other excellent work by him).
it's long and detailed and definitely not for those who get bored with more than four sentences of information and sound bites.
