  JW perception of Armageddon's Iminence

  i am wondering how iminent did armageddon seem when you were jws?

  how iminent does the wts feel it is today?.

  i recall that for me it seemed that it could happen at any moment.

  As I have stated before, I was born and raised in the org. Armageddon was always around the corner and I was never suppose to have grown up, gotten married or even have children in this system of things. Because the end was always very close, I was cheated out of my youth just like so many other JW kids I knew. The GB lies. We all know that.

You arrogantly f---'d me out of my childhood, my confidence, my education, my God-given talent, my ability to be a better provider for my children, whom you helped me and my fanatical JW x-wife and her fat slob of drunken husband to screw up with your lies and "new light". My mother and my grandmother spent their entire lives devoted to your bullshite and they died very exhausted and lonely . . . they were more devoted to the org than most of the minions holding positions in the congregations and they were shunned and put off constantly. You will answer to the creator of whose interests you claim to serve for all of your lies and deception.

  OK, I've deicded to go into business. Again, it started out as a joke, but it seems there is a market for these T-shirts, and I will proudly wear one to the District Convention this summer. (I will also get my butt thrown out of Qualcom Stadium, ha ha)

  Give me a few days to get this thing rolling and I will let all you folks know when they are ready.

  The "Kenny from South Park-WT SURVIVOR" T-shirt would violate copywright laws, but I will call Tray Parker and see if I can work something out; they hate the Org too.

  WT Library Software

  yesterday, i installed the 2001 watchtower library software on my pc.

  suddenly i was not able to view any and all "apostate" sites i had just been to seconds earlier before installing the software, including this forum.

  having a gut feeling, i uninstalled the wt library software, and presto!

  ok, I reinstalled the software. I have no problem accessing this site with it installed now, so it must have been a fluke or a co-inky-dink.

  I still have yet to see if I can access porn sites . . . I'll let you know.

  Self control

  since fading, i've noticed my 'self-control' is better.

  i mean by that, things that i really believe are wrong or not good for me, i find easier to resist.

  not that i did anything 'gross' before, but just things like being gluttonous, bitchy, dishonest, materialistic, all those things that i don't want to do because i know they have bad consequences but do anyway sometimes (because of being 'imperfect'?).

  I think self-control is the thing. The org fails to realize that the only one you can control is yourself. Trying to control millions of JW members is a sickness. The example is set for its members and therefore the sickness is hereditary. Lifers pass it down to their kids and so on. When I stopped being controlled by the org, I stopped trying to control other things that many other JW's concerne themselves with trying to control, especially, the thoughts, desires and feelings of their children. I am now able to accept what other people think and feel without the nuerotic desire to "give a witness", i.e., invalidating and attempting to control what that person think or feels. I am much more free to exercise self-control over me now. That is the kicker since it becomes such a big committee meeting event when a JW member loses some self-control, especially sexually. And then it is up to the whims of the elders and the GB as to what type of lack of self-control is more serious than others. They pounce on masturbators and fornicators and sort of sidestep the gluttons and greedy persons. My exwife and her husband, Mark and Sara Meier, take trips to Las Vegas frequently . . . why???? That is "SIN CITY" and what the hell are two Witnesses in good standing with the congregation doing in "SIN CITY"?

  Again, we can only exercise control over ourselves, and NO BODY ELSE, unless we allow them to.

  Well, it started out as a joke, but I am going to make up a couple for myself. If I get enough orders I will be more than happy to fill them. My brother suggested I set up a stand outside the next District Convention.

  Speaking of which, anyone in the San Diego area want to make up some picket signs and banners and hang outside the stadium this coming up District Convention????
