Sex Offender Database
by Schizm ininterested in knowing who and where those are in your neighborhood who are registered sex offenders?.
if so, then go to google and type in "registered sex offenders in texas".
(of course you would enter the particular state where you live in place of "texas".. if you do happen to live in texas, go to

Nevada does not even allow inquiries! They simply make community notifications.
Here's a cool website that tells you what each state does and does not do.

Sparks, it seems to be different even among different States over here. Texas is one of the few that is so forthcoming with their sex offenders database. California is horrible, as simplesally stated, on top of that, I think you can only search by name, not your city or local vicinity, so you would have to know the persons name to begin with...I could be wrong on that as it has been a while since I looked into it, I just remember it being absurdly difficult.

Prince and upcoming Tour song list
by Alana inok, prince is coming to our town on his latest tour.
the ads all say that this is the last time that he'll play his "old songs".
well, some of those "old songs" (which i do like) are not very witness-like at all, as you may know.

Don't think he'll be playing Darling Nikki either.

Funeral for Non-JW Spouse...Family upset
by DevonMcBride inan older lady (referred to as sister x) who does outside sales for us is a jw pioneer.
last week her non-jw husband of almost 50 years passed away.
sister x has been a baptised jw for over 30 years but no one else in her family accepted these beliefs including her husband.
-
amac
She picked the funeral home because it was owned by his cousins and it was free.
Well, the KH would have been free too, so she obviously compromised and picked a more religously neutral location. I still think it is rude for other family members to make a fuss, especially to be disruptive or obvious at the actual funeral. It's disrespectful to the deceased and to his wife.

That's funny because I thought it was disrespectful that they would rant through the service because she picked a religously neutral location for the burial. She was married to him for a damn long time to not have the right to pick the funeral home.

This is a women's poll. Men feel free to comment....
by Country Girl inthis poll is inspired by comments on maverick's spoiled women thread.
it's a sincere poll and i hope to see at least some intelligent comments here.
are you currently married or coupled to/with a american/canadian/british/european/scandinavian who is also a white/caucasion male?

- Are you currently married or coupled to/with a American/Canadian/British/European/Scandinavian who is also a white/caucasion male? no, why would I marry another man?!? I'm married to a woman.
- Are you happily or unhappily married/coupled? I told you, I'm not married to a man!
- Why are you happy or unhappy in your marriage/couple? enough already!
- If you are happy or unhappy in your marriage/relationship, does it have anything to do with the race, background or culture of your husband/partner? Or is it him, as an individual that keeps your interest or doesn't keep it? What is it with you and your fascination with me being married to a male?!?!
- If you are a woman who is divorced from a white/caucasion man, do you date white/caucasion men now? Do you exclusively date men of other races? I'm not a woman
- If you date men of other races and cultures, do you do it because they have more of what you're looking for? What would that be? I don't date men, I'm married!
- How many of you ladies prefer an intelligent, confident, independent and loving man of any culture to a dominant man of any culture? I already told you I'm a man
- Are there any non white women here prefer white men over other races and cultures of men? If so, please tell us why I give up!

Just plain rude!
by Stefanie inwe went to a chinese restaraunt this weekend.
the whole experience started off bad.
the minute we walked in, the waitreses looked me up and down and started talking chinese loudly to each other.
-
amac
That was definitely rude, in fact if you didn't finish your food, I would have just walked out without paying and would have happily told them so.
On the tipping topic, the only bad thing about not tipping is that those waiters/waitresses who act like that wouldn't learn from it, they would just bitch and moan how someone didn't tip them. The only good thing is they may quite due to not making enough money if it happened enough.

Help is this true??????
by finger inhttp://www.geocities.com/heartland/2919/reasons2.html
are these true especially numbers:.
20, 26 (is this true in uk?
-

Those are NOT all true. Some are regional unwritten rules as well.
47. Chess? I've never met a single JW with an adversion to playing chess, despite some very old WT quotes saying questionable things about it.
66. Windows in KHs? Not a rule, but all the new plans done by the WT do not have windows, more than likely for cost and vandalization reasons.
23. As a JW, I bought plenty of Girl Scout cookies.
34. Serving on a Jury is a conscience matter.
49. That is NOT a rule of JWs. My family reported a JW child molester to the police. Unfortunately it may sometimes be the case, but it is not a rule.
57. Not true. Sexual positions do NOT need to be officially approved. They have flip floped several times on oral sex being OK, but currently it is a conscience matter not to be inquired of.
59 and 63. I've never heard anyone say or do this.
71. I like how they word it as if women are slaves to elders, not true.
72. Debatable, paying taxes supports the country.
91 and 98 are also wrong and stupid.
I like how the number 1 "strange belief" is that God is not a Trinity. Yeah, that's as equally strange as believing that God IS a Trinity. These people are just as whack as JW's.
