my girlfriend and i had a discussion with some friends about how old they felt thier souls were.
for myself, i have the feeling with alot of things in life that i have done them before.

as most of us know....they are expecting communication from the spacecrafts they have sent to the red planet.
they are searching for water, organic matter, and signs of life.. how would your understanding of things change......if at all........if they find life there?.

this is more just a viewpoint than a direct anwer to the post, but if you believe in god or angels or demons you already believe in extraterrestrial life don't you? they're the same thing just depends what angle you let yourself you look at it. mars isn't the issue.

The Earth

Tha Greate$t ini think the people who said's that they are going to heaven is the ones who are so upset that when they lose a love one or see death, they just put aside and say in their heart that armageddon is not coming, a new earth is not coming, therefore im going or we "must" go to heaven.. i dont agree with the jw on everything(some things they say dont make no damn sense), but one thing they taught me is that god's cares for his footstool.
in the bible it said's: the earth was creator for a purpose and this purpose was not made in vain, the earth has a purpose, behold the earth is the home of humans.
the bible is full of evidence that the god will not get rid of the earth and a new holy city(which is a new heaven and a new earth) is coming.

i don't wanna live forever, i always found life difficult and a tragic accident would be fine by me, not that i want to die or anything, just that i never felt comfortable with life and the only value it's ever had so far has been 'for the sake of it'.
ageing used to bother me because there were so many things i wanted to do by a certain age, now i'm past all of the ages i set goals for, so to an extent i'm free to live knowing i never achieved what i set out to, it's actually quite refreshing, and i'm not old so i'm cool enough with it.
death itself i look forward to, not in any romantic way, just to see if there is anything else or not, that in itself doesn't frighten me, but there are many ways of dying that certainly would.

Dreaming on JW model

i was reading that naomi campell's mother is an active jw, and i understood that she was preaching to her daughter about the marvelous and wonderful organization that is the wt, and for a moment i thought that for all the males in the congregations would be so nice to have her as our sister..... imagine......sister campbell is arriving to the meeting at the kh and she is late and walks slowly looking for a place to get sit, she is wearing beautiful red underwear...... or maybe, in front of wt headquarters in ny, the organization placed a "pasarela" (i don't know the word for the place where the models walk showing dresses) and all the bros and sis are buying the watchtower and awake magazines from the campell's hands.
here in chile, we have a brother who owns a factory of women underwear called "intime".. chileanrick

12:00 a.m. (E.S.T.) Boxing Day Now: how do you all feel?

haha, i almost had a heart attack when i saw a topic with my name as title!!!
thanks loads! i had my first birthday party ever this time, first cake and everything, it even had candles! i blew them all out in one go, but in the morning when i counted them there were 33 and i'm only 26!!!, haha, i guess i will reuse them in a few years!

this ever happen to you guys?> it is known that most of us humans will never meet the 'right' person for us, or perfect, if u will.
for example, i might meet this good looking chick, and she wants to have sex immediately, and im not into that - first, takes away the mystery and second, whose to say she wouldnt do it the following night with some other stranger?

totally know what you're talking about frantic, gotta say i go through phases of being picky (mostly people say i am too picky) and sex with five different chicks in one night. mostly i'm looking for the same, one life partner, someone stable with feelings, so that i have no desire, want or need to look anywhere else, and who i do the same for, also with sex five times a night.
the other thing is, i find casual sex on its own really unfulfilling, almost the routine of a chick's clothes coming off, it's like you said... no mystery, and half the turn on is the mystery, the dance, the romance, all of it!
i don't however think that it breaks anyones heart, sleeping with them, but afterward i would rather have someone i actually want to be with laying there than someone i just wanted to bang 'at the time', you know, even if i enjoyed it i feel bad afterward because there were no feelings and i really couldn't care less, it's all fake, it doesn't feel right and it ain't what i want out of life.
life is hard, but finding someone you really want to be with is really hard.

my cent says that they are probably one of the largest corporations in the US, certainly one of the largest printing/publishing corporations in the world with hands in heaven knows what else, not to mention the shipping and cargo companies they must own, but if you just add up the real estate they own (bethel's, kindom halls, assembly halls) worldwide, they soon become an enormous player, with both liquid cash and real estate, as well as facilities and infrastructure, with sub companies and 'charity' status which makes a lot of what they earn tax free, they can keep going for a very very very long time, contributions got them off the ground, now they must be worth billions, and remember that most of the halls and jw buildings run autonimously from local contributions, and i don't think they will drop enough so A N Elder's Congregation can't afford to pay the electricity or water bill.
nah, they're not dying, if you take away the cult and look at them from a business, you gotta hand it to them, they've achieved the american dream, for a corporation so big, so what if they get into legal troubles, they can always buy into political parties (if they haven't already) in every country they exist in, they could buy into each party using a sub company (they have so many) and become completely subversive. rupert murdoch has a media giant, the society is a media giant, i think it's likely that bombs would be far more effective than anything else, it might give the jw's stronger faith, but it would sure shake the society, but chances are they already have a private army on standby just in case.
just as a side note, how hard do you think it is to buy a judge and jury these days?
anyways, in mind the society already have power and money a plenty, and even without any followers they're already in a position to have a whole lot of influence over whosoever they choose, they could even create an apostate forum just like this, to keep tabs on apostates, with so many society minds thinking for so long, surely they are miles out of the box already.
ps: don't you think that since they have been going so long they haven't already second guessed our every move? they're like a government that has NEVER had a change in rulership, they are masters at what they do with over 100 years experience.
