being that my husband is a long time witness i know what the witness view is, it is all satan's doing.
since most of you are "out", has your view on the source of evil/unacceptable behavior, (whatever you personally find just out-right wrong, for me it is child sexual abuse), changed?

There would be a criminal charge & prison sentence equal in severity to those faced by a person accused of a crime, brought against the person who accused them of that crime if the accusation should be proven false.
Proven false either by the accused being found unanimously not guilty in a trial by jury in a court of law, OR by the accuser withdrawing charges before trial.
In the latter instance (withdrawing charges before trial) the accused person would have the right to veto prosecution against the accuser at their own discretion. (Allowing domestic conflicts to be resolved outside court)
In conjunction with this law, the identity of both the accused (and if possible the accusor) in crimes such as rape would not be disclosed until the trial was over, and there would be a gag order on the all parties involved (accuser, accused, families, press & jury) until a verdict reached.
I think this law would protect men who are falsely accused of rape, and it would make false accusers think twice before wrecking a persons name and life.
I also think a law like this would strengthen the case of women who are really victims of rape, as they would see the consequences faced by those who make it up.

Gas price in your area?
by JH inhere in quebec, ordinary unleaded is 94.4 cents a litre.
(that's the cheapest gas!!!).
there are 3.78 liters per american gallon, so this would give $3.57 a us gallon..... what's the price of gas in your area?

Are There Current JWs Who If They Became XJW's, You Still Wouldn't Trust?

i was noticing, how the great majority who are fading, or are df or da, and post here, seem to go through a sincere personality change for the better.. it is of course a very humbling experience to find out how wrong and judgemental we were.. but is there a witness or two, who even if they posted here, you wouldn't trust them or like them.?

I don't think anyone trusts or likes someone just because they are Ex JW's. I think it depends on the individual and how you get to know them etc...

What is it all about? This life.
by dh indo you ever have those days, weeks, months, or even years where you just feel like your entire existence is completely pointless, when time has shot by and you feel like you have done none of the things that you set out to do so many years prior.
when you feel like you have been standing still forever.. you work your routine and live your life, maybe have some friends, but when you go to sleep at night you still feel like there is nothing, no point or reason or meaning for any of it, like life is a void, and all your actions, feelings and everything about you is simply designed to distract you from the fact that there is nothing, and if you're lucky you're so distracted that you never notice it at all.
it's like some insane cylce and you can never break it, no matter what you do or how you try.

YESTERDAY'S WT STUDY
by Mary inoh lordy, at yesterday's botchtower study, paragraph 17 (i think) asked what we personally found "encouraging" about the 2004 stats that are listed by country in the wt.
anyway, someone finally put up their hand and remarked about how wonderful it was to see that ethiopia had a 5% increase......ya, i guess if you're starving to death, who wouldn't want to hear that paradise is right around the corner.
one bro put up his hand and actually mentioned the fact that there was 0% increase in virtually all the industrialized nations, but that we "shouldn't let that discourage us".
