  in verses above too.

  just like Ananias in ACT 5, also in Matthew 12: 31-32 ..............will not be forgiven in this world or in the world to come

  btw to many questions regarding HS, expecially in ACT 5,

  if HS is a teacher then must be have inteligence involved here, if have inteligence then HS must be a person which is hv ability to teach us.

  so ....since HS have inteligence and have ability to teach us, not just impersonal active force. Is HS a person ?

  Are you aware that this entire line of reasoning is thought dependent? In other words, not a matter of direct experience where you can actually invite the reader to examine for himself, as there are some assumptions to be made. No offense, as I don't know if you're a JW or not, but the whole question format makes the message looks like a WTS publication.

  Mark, I am not a JW or ex-JW. I just want to know what opinion from JW view of ACT 5, below are my questions :

  * How can you lie to an impersonal force?

  * Why does Peter say that Ananias "played false" ("lied" in the Diaglott) to GOD?

  * Who is the "spirit of Jehovah" that Peter speaks of?

  * In context, isn`t the "spirit of Jehovah" the same as the Holy Spirit, Who is called GOD in Acts 5?

  Here's a simple and straightforward question: Do you think God exists independent of your beliefs and thoughts about God? If so why don't you just drop the ideas and relate directly? Or do you hold those beliefs more dearly than God, or perhaps cannot make the distinction between the ideas and the reality?

  Of Whom did they make a test? Jehovah God. Whose ways have they not come to know? Jehovah God`s ways. Whose rest shall that generation not enter? Jehovah God`s rest. Let us now prayerfully consider what light the inspired book of Hebrews sheds on the subject "For this reason, just* AS THE HOLY SPIRIT SAYS: "Today if you people listen tohis own voice, do not harden your hearts as on the occasion of causing bitter anger, as in the day of making the test in the wilderness, IN WHICH YOUR FOREFATHERS MADE A TEST OF ME with a trial, and yet THEY HAD SEEN MY WORKS for fourty years. For this reason I became disgusted with this generation and said: 'They always go astray in their hearts, and they themselves have not come to know MY WAYS.'   * The word "just" shouldn`t be there, acc. to the Diaglott. Let us pause for a moment to consider the context. The Holy Spirit is telling us not to harden our hearts in unbelief when we hear the words of Christ. He cites the example of the Israelites. Even tho they were delivered with a mighty hand out of Egypt with mighty signs and wonders, yet they failed to enter the promised land. Instead, they perished in the wilderness because of unbelief and disobedience. If they failed because they were disobedient to the Word that Moses spoke to them, what hope is there for those who are disobedient to the Word that the Son of God speaks to us today? There`s another lesson to be learned, as well. Acc. to Heb. 3:7,

  WHO is speaking? The Holy Spirit. And of WHOM does He say the Israelites made a test? Of Himself--the SAME Holy Spirit. Whose ways did they not come to know? The Holy Spirit`s ways. and WHOSE rest did that generation not enter? The Holy Spirit`s rest.

  The Holy Spirit IS Jehovah God..........................:=)))

  If the Holy Spirit--the Spirit of Jehovah--is a divine Person and we don`t know it, we are robbing a divine Being of the love and adoration which are His due. If we know in our hearts that God`s infallible Word calls the Holy Spirit God, but we continue to reject that, are we blaspheming against the Holy Spirit??

  You must test the spirit (1 Jo 4: 1-6 NKJV), Which one Spirit of truth ? Spirit of truth never produce any false doctrine, any false prediction, also not blink on and off, etc.

  spirit of error --the spirit which comes from Satan and seduces into error.

  Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but try the spirits to see if they are of God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

  Well Zen Nudist, That's is a common thing if in Indonesia, people of Indonesia will use spirit to guide them to get Lotery Number for the next week and they believed it, then they will buy a lotery number, and lost their money next week and never win. but they still do it right now. estimation at least 10-20% people of Indonesia will do that.

  i am discussing this subject with a friend who believes this and who uses the passage in col 1 vs.15-17 as 'proof'.

  he also uses john 8 v 58. it is of course a question of greek interpretation.

  is there anyone out there who is a reliable greek scholar who could verify what these verses really say?
