ya, they say its a "conscience" matter. but what they don't tell you is that the WTS owns your conscience and that they're going to make you feel as guilty as you can possibly feel for sentencing that guy to bubbah and his big oversized...chicken

Jury duty???
by Strawberryfieldsforever ini was just wondering if jury duty was considered taking part in the world.
i just found out that my mom had jury duty a few months ago and went!
i've never been a registered voter and thought you had to register to be called to jury duty.

Mean things that Elders have done
by galaxy7 init was during the drought when alberta and sask were in bad shape for hay.my husband was promised 100 bales (this was before the drought).when my husband was ready for the hay the elder said he couldnt have any ,in the field there were trucks picking up hay which he sold for double the price.so here we were with no promised hay to feed 32 horses.does anyone else have a story?

All of us need to go to the Kingdom Hall!!
by dustyb inmaverick brought out a good point a few days ago, and i quote.
"you know what dustyb, we should all go back!
can you imagine what would happen if all "apostates" everywhere went to the k-hall next sunday?

What would happen if ALL of us just started going back to meeting for shits and giggles, to get a rise outta the watchtower. that would be an ultimate slap in the face, because there's more ex-JW's then there are JW's actually (or so i believe). I mean, what could they possibly do with millions of apostates returning to the Kingdom Hall? Shun us?? Tell us that we aren't welcome (then their place would be a private organization and you could pull lawsuits of discrimination and whatnot, muhaha). I almost want to try it, to get all of my old ex-JW buddies to go back and sit for a month in the kingdom hall and see what happens

I Beat The Tower, and So Can You
by D8TA inthere wont be any one-shot wonders to bring the mighty dark watchtower crumbling down.
no magic rings to destroy, no torpedoes that are to be launced in some weak spot to make the whole damn thing explode.
there is a way to beat the tower, and already the process of it s destruction has begun.

yep, jury duty is being involved in political matters, judging other people's fate (ironic it seems). I'd still go to jury duty because i dig law and whatnot, who cares what the society has to say.

mean thing elders have done
tuck their balls behind their legs and run when their "faith" is being questioned reasonably and respectably by a 19 year old kid....
telling my girlfriend that i'm being influenced by satan if i speak bad of the organization
making my girlfriend feel guilty when she talks to me or sees me
telling the kiddies that the world is going to end very soon and we don't have anything to live for......(at least in my generation)
