i do remember historically that the USAF did indeed fly aircrafts with nuclear weapons. it was very secretive until a few years ago.

Did The Witnesses Ever Say Weird Things In The 70's Door To Door?
by shamus ini recall my parents saying that they would go around and say that "nuclear bombs" were, at one point, imminent, and what you would do if you died today?
i'm not sure if that's the exact wording, but just wondering if they really said weird things like that; like there were fighter jets in the sky with nuclear capabilities that nearly caused "armageddon".
true or false?

well my girlfriend's mother is bipolar, her brother is bipolar, her uncle. her grandma suffers from depression or something (she was abused by her JW husband when she was young, a pity that she's still JW). My mom suffered from nervous breakdowns, but i think that was because of my dad. i know a lot of people who would just burst if they found out the real truth too....

How Do You View Pets - new article
by puppylove inhas anyone read this?
i had it shoved in my face in the subway at 42nd street this morning by the jw drone who stands there.
as usual, i controlled my urge to kick her, but the title of the article caught my eye, pet lover that i am.. i would assume it lays a load of guilt on anyone who holds their pet in high esteem..

Will Jehovah Forgive Your Sins If You Don't Confess To Men?
by Englishman inwhy is it that jw's insist that you must confess your serious sins to earthly men in order to "put yourself right" with jehovah?.
small isolated sins don't seem to matter much.
however, there does seem to be a finely drawn line that demands confession to elders.. interestingly, once that finely drawn line has been crossed that demands confession to elders, so too has the line of what constitues a disfellowshipping offence.. for example, occasional masturbation is just about one side of that line, do it while someone talks dirty to you and you've crossed that line and entered the disfellowshipping area.

a big point of the NT that i found out after i left Dubdom was that, "we all sin, and we all fall short of the glory of God". so why confess to someone else that likewise falls just as short as the next man? Also, "we are not saved through the works, but by the GRACE of the Father".
Every Jehovahs Witness that i have talked to have NEVER heard grace....they don't know what grace is....
(if you believe in God) If God was perfect, and required perfect sacrifices and couldn't "poison" himself with impurity, then why do Jehovah's Witnesses think that going out in service will save them??
No confession to any men about any sin.

like i said, it was just something i was thinking of because i was really tired and think of crazy things like that. it makes more sense that in order to yell, "religious opression", you have to show something that benefits your fellow man.

i'm a manly man, but i have a little yorkie terrier (like a teacup dog). and if anyone ever hurts it i will make sure their life will be as miserable as possible muhahaha. that dog is dedicated to me. it sleeps with me and follows me around and eats with me and studies with me and browses the internet with me and watches TV with me and so on and so forth. its my twin.

My son gets the Ax next Thursday
by freeman inas of next thursday my son will be dis-fellowshipped.
he knew it was only a matter of time; in fact imo he was deliberately doing things to get himself kicked out, like smoking in front of witness friends.
i?m not sure exactly what grounds they used, maybe smoking, maybe drinking, doesn?t matter, they make and change the rules as the go, but whatever they used, it will be announced next thursday.. he said to my wife that he knew he was going to lose every friend he had and asked her if she would now shun him too.

that sucks, but at least he's doing what he wants...instead of what they want, eh?
