  Remember when assemblies were fun?

  i just remembered when i was a kid and we would go to the assembly, it was fun because we got to buy new clothes and put extra effort into looking good.

  when we would get there you could save your seats and even save some for your friends, then go off looking for them.. i used to love our circuit assembly because of the food.

  it was at the assembly hall and there was a big kitchen, some of my favourite brothers worked in that kitchen, sometimes i was allowed to go in and help.

  The first assembly I went to I got ill after eating something. They took me to the Kitchens and I was given a hot milky cup of tea(Stupidity). I threw up over everything and everyone. It was all all downhill after that.

  i've been to the u.k a number of times.

  always spent a good while in london - i absolutely love it.

  i love the business of the underground, i love the shows that theatres offer, i love the sights and sounds so much.

  Coronation street is not set in London but in some God forsaken place up-north.

  OLD PHOTOGRAPHS FROM JW DAYS

  i left the organisation 5 years ago and this morning came across some old photographs from my jw days.

  most photographs were taken in the kh, such as marriages, and at assemblies and many are of people once considered close friends - but now i find it hard to look at them.

  i asked claire, my wife, if she would like to look at them and she said she couldn't bear to, so they went in the bin.

  First rock concert

  i have recently talked with other members on jwd about the first time they went to a concert.

  it was interesting the different choices of artists, and the age we were when we finally went to one.. my first was after i got my driver's license, so i was 16 years old.

  i went to see a concert with black oak arkansas, foghat, and montrose (when sammy hagar was just a pup).

  Funny you should ask this because I have just recently found on youtube my very first concert. It was a free concert at the yearly carnival. It turned into a riot. The group are UK Decay who were a very underrated group in their day but now are seen as being instrumental in the Goth movement. Sorry about the picture quality.

  ~Beloved landmarks from your hometown~

  when i was almost seven, we moved from the gulf coast town of mobile, alabama to morgan city, louisiana.

  on brashear avenue, which was also highway 90, the gulf coast hwy, going towards the now old atchafalaya bridge, there was a shrimp boat in the middle of the road called the spirit of morgan city.

  at christmas time they decorated it with a santa on the front and his reindeer out front, as if it were santa's mode of transportation through cajun country, rather than his regular sleigh.

  Boeing, Ikea and Me and a new JOB

  so, today i had an assessment at boeing to see if i would qualify to build airplanes.

  it was a mechanic job.

  scary think is, i passed the test-with flying colors!
