If Russell was a Freemason during an early stage of his life this would have a small bearing on the development of the Bible Students and then Jehovah’s Witnesses. If he was a mason throughout his life, this would have a greater influence on such things.
Context is obviously important when you want to understand the history of someone or something
As things stand there is no evidence, so it’s a non starter. If evidence turned up however then I would find it of importance.

Reveal something "weird" or "unusual" about yourself
by JH inwhatever i drink from the fridge, i put it into the microwave for 10 seconds so that it won't be too cold to drink.. .
whenever i drink ice cold liquids, it irritates my tongue/mouth and often triggers a sore throat.
now you have additional proof that i'm weird .

You do realise that most the people killed were honest, hardworking, innocent, and wished you no harm. -

The most helpful book I have read since my exit is New Believers by David V. Barrett. This book looks at the phenomenon of new religions like Jehovah’s Witnesses and describes why they work etc. It does this in a balanced way, noting good points as well as the negative and without any ulterior religious agenda.
It also has a excellent reference section detailing the history and beliefs of most of the movements that come under the umbrella of alternative religions.

Don't you sometimes just want to STOP talking about it?
by nicolaou inthere's some real nasty stuff going on in my family right now - many of my worst fears about being shunned are coming true and i fear for my mum's health because of all the stress she's under - seriously!.
but i just cannot bring myself to discuss it.
i'm just so sick and tired of the whole thing...

I often feel that way myself, actually I have to stop myself coming to this board regularly because I get so down. I have come to acknowledge that my happiest moments in life are when I am not thinking excessively about my JW past.
I am lucky, all my family that are witnesses know my stance on the religion and seem to accept it and me, things may change in the future though, not sure how I would handle that. -

I have to correct you Ozzie, Luton Towns capacity is 10,000 not 6,000, still small compared to others in the Championship but as passionate as they come. What is more important however is the fact we are top of the league (Ok only 3 games in) but could it be possible next season will bring us the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester united. Are you jealous Ring Wielder?
