Not the obvious stuff, but the side points about the symbolism of misc items. Just smacks of how much we were NOT told as JW's and what we were told relating to symbolism was to suit the thinking of the 'moment'.

Were your prayers ever answerd by Jehovah?
by micheal ini recall praying countless of times about very specific things, "worked in harmony with my prayers" and nothing.
anything that remotely seemed like an answer was either coincidence or my own determination to get it done.. so, how about you?
did jehovah answer your prayers or were you like me, did you feel very frustrated and guilty because they were never answered?

WHAT'S NEXT AFTER "REFINEMENT"?
by fearnotruth22 infor years the wts has been focusing on being more efficient, refinement, etc.
that is why many departments in the wts have merged, others eliminated.
the lates gossip from betthel a couple of years ago was that bethel was downsizing and many bethelite would be sned home and those leaving would not be repalced, also the sale of wt property, the printibg of literaure overseas normally done here and more prining done upsate ny would seem to indicate a move out of brooklyn, to patterson.

Confirms my suspicions, at one time someone somewhere had a good intention here. It just went horribly awry as things do when they take on a life of their own. Of course that Pr!ck Rutherford helped things along.

When you were a dub.....did you ever fall asleep when you prayed in bed?
by gumby inwell i did .....all the time.
it always bothered me that i couldn't even stay awake to thank my god.
i found out later many did the same.

Very rarely, but it did happen.
On a related note, while we were strong JW's my wife and I figured out that the WT would put you to sleep even after a triple shot grande latte from Starbucks. Too bad we are alergic to that remedy now.......
