  I am a sociopath - WT Society's fault???

  although not professionally diagnosed, i feel like i'm a sociopath.

  someone told me the definition of one (and it is complex) and i feel i fit the mold - although not 100 percent.

  there are some things that i don't match the definition of.

  You have been given some really good advice here and I can't really add much. The advice about labels is very, very true...don't label yourself and don't let anyone that is not trained or experienced with mental disorders to do it either, especially your x-wife. If you are 'labeled' long enough the danger is, as you have experienced yourself...you will begin to believe it.

  My wife's 1st husband was a true sociopath. I will not get into what he did to her and other people, but she is terrified still, after 20 years that he will show up, hopefully... someone has put an end to his useless life.

  Someone said, those type of people have no conscience, this is very true, they can also physically inflict pain and serious injury upon another with absolutely no 'feeling' on their part. In other words they can cut someone with a knife...for the 'fun' of it or because its 'interesting' or because they actually get a sick thrill out of the act. How about extenguishing a cigarette on a womans breast...? THAT is what some of them can do without feeling 'anything' for there victim...very scary.

  If you have depressive problems, they may or may not be related to your history as a JW. I had/have that problem and feel like being a JW certainly adds a lot more 'trash to the can'... that depression already brings to your life. The best thing I ever did, as I was fading, going thru a nasty divorce and dealing with my Major depression and epilepsy was -- I went to a Psychiatrist and started drug and "talk" therapy. I had had some labels put upon me, too. I began to wonder about my self, too. So, one of the things that is done is a diagnosis by the Doctor thru observations and a host of psychological tests. It was very comforting to find out what my friends already knew...the only thing wrong with me was major depression, it was treatable and I was completely normal otherwise.

  My depression is under control, I no longer need anti-depressives, I am happily married -- and out of the world of the Watchtower !

  Should Saddam Be Executed If Found Guilty?

  there is only so far you can go in inflicting just punishment upon an evil person.

  yet how evil is someone who has murdered one person in cold blood, compared to someone who is guilty of genocide?

  the crime of murder is heinous in itself, but does the fact that someone may be responsible for millions of deaths make the crime of multiple murder a million times worse than the person who kills only once?

  Wednesday, THAT is a hilarious, but, yet kinda creepy. I wonder if he "REPENTED" and studied 6 months or so...ewwwww. That is a cold chilly thought...

  Maybe he could pioneer for a while...work part time at Starbuck's. And with his persuasive organizational skills, he could move up the ranks to Elder, Circuit & District Overseer -- then a very natural 'bump' up to the BIG time...Bethel, then...............the Governing Body ! Damn, he just thought he had power before...heheh

  the crime of murder is heinous in itself, but does the fact that someone may be responsible for millions of deaths make the crime of multiple murder a million times worse than the person who kills only once?

  This is about INSURANCE.............

  Maya, my friend I don't think that will work too well, lol.

  Just cause you or I say anything -- doesn't make it so. As far as Vengeance...there may be a little different viewpoint expressed by anyone who has lost loved ones to Saddam killing spree...even coalition soldiers families.

  the thing my husband i spend the most money on is eating out.

  there is one very good reason for this, i can't cook.

  Does he deserve the ulitimate penalty of death ? Of Course !

  Does he deserve to mentally rot in a cage til he dies? Of Course !

  How's about a real election in Iraq... Death or Life in prison?

  He seems to be a little un-nerved by the Iraqi's taking custody of him...methinks he feels a mite safer with the evil Americans!

  To all who have suggested some type of torturous death...really would YOU debase yourself by being the one to do it? Or help decide to do it? Good people need to mete out justice in a humane way, irregardless of what they did. We are better for it !

  I do however, kinda like the Bible practice of 'stoning' the guilty. If he gets the Death Penalty, let the outraged injured parties...Saddam's victims and their kin take care of his execution.

  If he gets Life, let his caretakers... be his victims, at least once a week he could have visits !

  I think Princess is letting you know something good cooks have found to be indespensible - browning. Heat a heavy pan purdy hot and sear/brown any kind of meat & even some veggies in a little oil...don't burn! Most of the fantastic flavors of the meats can happen here, boiling will never do as good a job. After you brown, not cook thru, then you can deglaze the pan - loosen all the scrapings that are carmelized, by pouring in a little water, broth, wine, etc. stir and scrape all the stickin's. Put everything in your slow cooker.

  You'll be amazed at the difference in taste!

  One more (non-NUKE):

  Take fresh 2" thick Salmon Steaks, brush with Olive & Garlic oil and place in Hot oven 400 - 425 degrees.

  Get some condensed Balsamic Vinegar from a specialty grocer, make sure it is from Modena, Italy, they have very strict standards. This condensed Balsamic V. is thick, dark and sweet -- like chocolate syrup. *It is NOT the normal watery type.* A little goes a long way.

  Sprinkle both sides of the steaks, it will make a beautiful sweet glaze over it...that has a out-of-this-world taste.

  It should be cooked with 6 - 7 minutes per side or less.
