by african GB Member in....for me that is..... i've had enough of being shunned by almost everyone on this board, just because i am different and i am not american or canadian!.
to whoever is in charge here, just "destroy" my membership from this forum.. no one takes me serious and no one believes anything i say here.. i have realised that once one becomes a jw, they remain so until their death, hence the shunning and discrimination that rules this board.. to those who understood my sense of humor here, i say goodbye to ya'll niggas.. i'll see you in hell!.
watch this space, maybe i'll come back in a different name and style(invisibly, just like jesus christ in 1914).. look out for signs of my presence.. agbm from africa, out!!!!!

How was the Dallas get togather? Haven't seen any comments about it.
Well-l-l...we got there about a half-hour late and no one was there. The hostess asked if we were with "...the internet group?" ,and said a man & woman were there, but had left. So, we stayed to eat. A little while later, our friend 6 of 9 showed up and we 3 caught up and had our Fest.

Hey Quentin,
I am so sorry about your friend Ronnie. It's so true about the very few people that end up as good, special or even best friends -- they are rare and valuable. Most of us as JW's built up family and 'friends' younger in our lives -- then lost them all. I reconnected with a jw I had pioneered with, he had been df and I treated him with total hate and disrespect...as I was taught and believed, as a true Jehovah's Witness. 30 years later I apologized. He wasn't even mad at me. We became friends again the last 2 years, then he died last month from liver cancer.
You are absolutely right, savor your friends and family (if they let you), because, you really never know about tomorrow or even the next minute.

xpeterx:
Can a JW for instance accept blood from others after it has been fractioned but instead of some components only be administered with all blood fractions?
As others have answered, yes, if their conscience allows it. But the Watchtower's 'Truth' is always evolving...for instance, in the mid-80's you would be disfellowshipped if you received an organ transplant, then, the day after New Light was printed in the mid 80's -- it was A.O.K -- according to your Watchtower trained conscience. The GB never did apologize for the thousands of deaths their former 'Truth' caused.
When my JW mom died needing a blood transfusion, hemoglobin (the insides of a red blood cell) was forbidden. Not long after...New Light was printed and it was now a 'conscience matter.' The Watchtower never apologized to me, my family or the thousands of others who lost faithful, sacrificed relatives to the Watchtower's Olde Light, New Light, Dim Light 'Truths'.
Please answer me on this simple question: Does Truth really ever change ?

Is Proper Worship Important to you?
by wannabe indidn't he also tell her that only those worshipping in spirit and in truth were the only kind the father was looking for to worship him?
his apostles by him.
notice something here!
-
Rabbit
It was important to me at one time -- that was when I told other people whether their 'worship' was right or wrong. Ya' know...back when I was foolish.
Now, I'm feeling much better. I am agnostic.

Do you know of any cases where having a no blood card worked?
by highdose inwe were always told to imagine a senario where the paramedics would find our no blood card and cry " thank god!
we almost gave her a blood transfusion!".
thing is: when i worked in emergency medicine we were always stricted told never ever go rifiling through the patients pockets/handbag/ wallet!.

My JW mom'sNo Blood Cardworked very efficiently. It killed her.
She wasn't found unconscious, she had cancer. The Watchtower, INC. demands, in God's name, that thousands of his faithful...slowly smother to death.
SO, we all went to watch. The JW's were relieved when she passed away -- faithful.

E.O. Mysterious
"It's okay asilentone, what your feeling is a mental guard / reaction. Same type of thing as when a JW is not mentally ready to know they been lied to, will just insist that the truth of the truth is apostate or a trick.
There is no 'theory' here. The hard concerte evidence, statements, video, etc, there is no 'theory'. "
So, you KNEW the Truth when you were a JW and now, since you 'saw thru that lie'...you now KNOW the Truth again...about the Bible...again. Notice any kind of pattern going on in your thinking? By the way, you sound like an intelligent guy. Just be careful tho' not to "...outwit your common sense." I heard that witticism in some new Country/Western song. It makes good sense.

"God Wanted a Special Father's Day Gift"
by Rabbit inso-o-o... he arranged to end the lives of 2 fathers and ruin the lives of many more for that special .
this is a terrible tragedy in the dallas area, at first, i thought the 'title' came from an idiot preacher.
i was wrong.. in my opinion, the needy god of the bible just isn't worth the 'love', adulation and respect religionists claim for it.

I fully understand that the Chief 'meant' well.
My point is: Death is bad enough all by it's self, but, when you add a god into the equation that has a reputation for petty, jealous anger and large scale violence...it is rather easy to attribute and accept that god's 'agents of death' can be murderers, rapists, drunk drivers, etc. Then, it's a 'happy' trip to heaven or even that wanted reunion.
I simply cannot respect people -- if that is their attitude toward any god.

What bothers me most is most believers just don't even question the "...whatever-god-wants-god-gets-with-my-unquestioning-blessing-and godly-fear-of disagreeing..." Or, something like that.
Yay, gawd!
"God Wanted a Special Father's Day Gift" Chief Humphrey
By JANE GEELAN-SAYRES
Updated 3:45 PM CDT, Sat, Jun 26, 2010
"God decided he wanted a special Father's Day gift, and that was Craig Shaw," said Lancaster Police Chief Kevin Humphrey.
Family, police officers from around Texas, friends and strangers gathered at the Inspiring Body of Christ Church in Dallas to pay their respects to fallen police officer Craig Shaw, a 5-year veteran of the Lancaster Police Department. Shaw was gunned down on Father's day, June 20.
"He paid the ultimate sacrifice which allowed others to live," said Chief Humphrey. "For Craig's brave act, we are honored to award him both the police cross and the medal of honor posthumously."
Shaw also served as a member of the Southwest Regional Response Tactical team, and leaves behind his wife, Tiwanda, three children and his extended family. During services on Saturday, Shaw was remembered as a family man who loved being a police officer and loved the community of Lancaster.

"He was committed and passionate about his job, and those whom he worked with, however nothing was more important to him than this family," said chief Humphrey. He and Tiwanda were high school sweethearts who married soon after graduating. Shaw, 37, was a graduate of H. Grady Spruce High School and joined the Lancaster Police Department in 2005. He previously worked for the City of Dallas Marshals office.
Officer Shaw is the first Lancaster police officer to be killed in the line of duty. The accused shooter, David Brown Jr., is the son of Dallas police chief David Brown. He was also killed during the gun battle.
23-year old Jeremy McMillian, an innocent bystander, was laid to rest on Friday. Less than two months ago he became a father for the first time and was engaged to be married. McMillian had arrived at the River Bend apartments to have dinner and a movie night with his sister, Jackie, when he was caught in the crossfire.
On Tuesday, June 22, Dallas Police Chief David Brown issued an email to his department, a portion of it read:
"My deepest sympathy goes out to Officer Craig Shaw’s family, the Lancaster police Department and to the citizens that he was attempting to protect. I also want to express my sympathy to the family of Jeremy McMillian. I have reached out to both families. I pray that both families find comfort from their faith, family and friends during this difficult time."

Dallas Police Department.A trust fund has been set up for Craig Shaw's children and family at Chase Bank. Donations to the Craig Shaw Trust Fund can be made at any Dallas-Fort Worth location.
