And, there is a BIG warning for Sunday morn. too, although mostly to the North & East of us.

Well, after the weather cleared in our county, I took my Honey to eat at Waffle House.
I have a couple of very rich customers who have basements. One of the problems is drainage and of course the water table, so these houses are higher up on hills. I have several others tho that have 'Safe Rooms' with reinforced concrete walls and ceilings. Some have actual safes in there, telephone hook-ups and panic buttons. One of them, you first entered a huge walk-in closet, then pushed and released 2 times on a section of the wood paneled walls -- presto -- the door would open ! Perfectly balanced !
We really dodged the bullet today. It makes me sad and a little angry to see a victim being interviewed -- everyone of them is THANKING GOD ! I.E. well, I only had my home destroyed, I only lost 3 family members instead of all, the tornado (god) took almost everyones home except mine...etc.,etc. We sure were lucky ! Really !?
God must have been protecting us...? Did He 'save' anybody ? Or, was it common sense to get in the tub, or away from windows, or to watch the weather reports ?
Ah, now I understand the 'fear of god' -- just look what 'He' can do.
Anyways we are OK and doing the best we can.

Cheeseits -- East of us isn't a good place to be right now...we're just now seeing all the damage on the TV. Our power only went off one time.
Tal -- Mrs Rabbit & I were going to go out for breakfast -- instead we've been glued to the TV. We have our tub ready, flash lights, shoes, coats, pillows, blankets & mattress at the ready.
It's so dark outside -- like dusk. I can't tell if the stuff SW of us will hit us or not. We have had heavy rain & small hail, I could see some light rotation almost directly overhead earlier. The clouds were moving in opposite directtions -- weird.
The rest of you DFW peeps -- please be careful

We live in NE Johnson county...the tornadoes went about 5 miles to our west & our east. The one that missed us on the west is going NE towards Arlington @ HWY 360 -- the largest shopping mall around here. The one on our west is a huge one -- on the ground for around 40 minutes now and going towards Dallas. A few minutes ago it hit a 18 wheeler truck depot...it was picking up these trailers hundreds of feet in the air and throwing them hundreds of yards. We got hit here last year by a weaker F1 tornado -- it tore off half of our roof and some neighbors got a lot worse. So...when these things come thru it's scary and we take it seriously. Now we have another wave coming up from the south. It's gonna be a long day...
