Sorry you feel so down at the moment azaria. War is horrible and no one really wins a war as innocent die on both sides, especially with wars being fought right amongst civillians these days. I too feel sad about the poor younger men fighting older mens battles. Whilst I didn't see the Oprah show as we dont get them hear in Australia for moths and I am work when they are on. I still hear ya.
One thing though and I dont want to start an argument and I am not having a go at any nation and its not overly important but I just wanted to point out to you that america did sit back for years whilst Hitler tried to take over the world until the Japaneese involved them. I mean thank goodness your country did step in when in finally did! However what makes me angry is that australia always supports every nation whether we are directly involved or not and our men are slaughtered without much thought of by the rest of the world. Then the one time we asked for assistance (Solomon Islands) America told us its not our problem go away.
However I know that was not the point of your thread but there is the bigger picture to think about to. I feel just as sorry for the people over in the middle east who also didnt want this war and have been more effected than any one in the west has. When I see the poor mothers crying on the news over their todlers being killed I get so angry because one man wants his way to rule the whole world. Many thousands of innocent people have died because of this one man and he has to be stopped. The ironical thing about that is that if he is caught there are probably several men ready to take up the fight where he left off. Kind of makes the whole thing pointless I feel but where do you draw the line and say enough is enough! I am just glad its not me trying to make those decisions. I dont envy your president one bit. I marvel at how he can decide on something as huge as he does. For that alone he is to be praised. Then I suppose it depends on your view. Its just so hard and so frustrating so I can only imagine how he must be feeling!

Welcome Purza!
Glad you felt able to start talking. I found that was the best release. Unitl I came here I could not be bothered speaking out againt the organisation. I mean I felt I had walked away so it was best to get on with my life and not worry. Sometimes I do wonder why people who have left do go on about things the way they do but I think its because a part of them still remains in the old thinking patterns and ways.
The truth is the truth will only have the hold on you that you allow it to have. No more, no less. How much you allow it to control you and your actions is up to you. It is a part of you and has shaped the person you are, your life experience up till now, how you view and filter life and so on. Girlfriend accept it and move on. You are the sum total of your life experiences so far so embrace them, learn from them and move on.
JW's are only people. They are only misguided people with a strict way of living and relating to the world they live in. You chose to step outside of it so go fully outside. Dont allow them to make you hide in fear. They are only people with a set of beliefs, like any other person in any other cult. They have no real power only that which we ascribe to them. Give them no power over your life and they have none. There is no magical cure all, no words people can say that will help you learn that. You must learn it for yourself and believe it. Then you must live it, You do not need anyone's permission to move on with your life. You have chosen to do it so get on with it. Face life in the face and enjoy the experience. Grow and learn but dont be afraid to move on.

Know what you mean homey. I have noticed big weather pattern changes too. Here in down under land we go straight from a few weeks of decent summer weather to cold with nothing in between. Gone are those beautiful inbetween weather days where its just perfect ane great to be alive wouldnt be dead for quids type days. Its just hot or cold and nothing else. I want those in between days back all year. I hate winter and we are plummeted into coldness now that day light saving has ended! I want a decent summer with days of 110 for weeks on end. Lovely long hot days that you can still see without lights at 9.30 pm. Winge winge winge, balh blah blah! I want summer back. I hate autumn and winter! Wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Not happy Jan!

as i was growing up it was like being in the middle of 2 polar opposites both tugging at me day in day out, sometimes trying to understand one whilst ignoring the other and vice versa.

Yes I do get pissed off for being blamed ofr stuff I didn't do! I used to get blamed for heaps when I was a jdub, even after I left the cong. However its my life and I will live it my way and if that means people feel better about their shallow empty lives and blame me for everything, well then so be it...oh no hang on you said satan gets the blame for it not me! Well anyway YES!

Mate get yourself an aussie shelia! Great knockers, will throw back a beer or two with ya, keep up with the best of what man has to offer then knock your socks off in other areas. Ya just havent met the right broad yet mate. Men are just as much of a puzzlement to women although why you choose to just look at the physical aspect gets me. Looks fade, things sag and age and gravity get us all. What your left with is a person.
Today I worked with a lady who had been married for 59 years and then had to leave her husband. Now imagine starting life again at the age of 81! She said the same thing. She was rather a looker in her hey day, and she thought all the fellows chased her becuase of her looks. She said when they were gone the husband looked elsewhere and finally last year she gave up and moved on. Made me think more about what attracts me to someone and vice versa. The guy I like I think is great but maybe who knows what others think of him. I dont care, I like him and if nothing else I will always have a good friend and they are hard to find.
So you concentrate on the fat butt and think that she would be perfect if only...well maybe she is thinking the same thing about you so looks elsewhere. However if you did actually meet and get over your predjudice you might have found your soul mate in someone you may never have looked at twice. Get over yourself mate and just get to know people. Stop judging a person by their looks and get to know the person. More importantly let people get to know the real you. Become friends first and forget about what a person looks like. No one can help how they look unless of course its all plastic. So she has a fat arse who cares, she likes spending time with you and your small you know what.
