  since i joined jwd in march, i have been putting things off that i am supposed to do because i am addicted to jwd!.

  1. clean the toilets!.

  2. i need to do the dishes!.

  Amicus, friend, look at your posting numbers and how long you've been a member. You must have fallen off the wagon. What happened, babe?

  Ahem, yes...the first time through I had already given up on the F(oolish) D(issapointing) S(anctimonies). I hit JWD while randomly surfing topics that including Jehovah's Witnesses and religion. Silly me thought I was one of the few that had realized those liars were succesfully running an old bluff. JWD blew me away.

  I hung out at H20 also as JWD led me to other JDub related sites. Although I posted there I really felt no need to argue. JWD on the other hand taught me that I wasn't the only xjdub whack-o out there. JWD then had some X's that I still miss to this day. I left a while after the H20 migration. I really didn't mind and in fact really liked some of the H20 folks, but it was time for me to digest things rather than spout my new found spin on life.

  I returned by chance actually, I was once again randomly surfing and was on one of my old pc's. JWD was there as a fav, so I went for grins. I really liked what I read though. A few weeks later, I returned...isn't that what addiction is all about?

  And...here...I...am...again (drool). (Umm, can one of you get my chin please?)

  Or Vegas...easy to fly in from here

  I've always thought of the S. Lake Tahoe airport a being a private plane hangout. I haven't seen it in a while though, it might be large enough to handle commuter twin props from Vegas. If so, Vegas might have better schedules as Reno is close enough that air travel isn't a need.

  Those hiking pics you posted are right there too, definately within biking distance of the Casinos if one chooses not to drive. It's parking area, trail, pristine mountain lake, trail, pristine mountain lake and then summit with a spectacular view of Tahoe.

  Same here. I'm close too, if they do it next year I'm there. Flipper made a good call with Tahoe as the Apostafest location. It's good enough that a family could travel cross country for an annual vacation and be glad they did. Tahoe could even work for a Super Apostafest. Reno would be the final airline destination, but Reno is fairly close.

  Funny thing really my born again sister and her husband claim GOD has actually talked to them an I asked them why would God speak to Believers and not speak to me an Atheist who do you think would be more impressed them or me...

  Well, there you go...never resort to logic when dealing with folks operating on emotion.

  I have a few friends who say when they were born again the spirit of Jesus entered them. Damn, if the spirit of Jesus ever enters me, it darn well better have more positive results on me than it did on them.

  I agree with this statement of yours, unfortunately there seems to be plenty of folks around who think that they have found this lost tongue, much to the detriment of those who don't agree.

  That's because both patriotism and religion are tools of the trade used by groups of the select few who desire control of the masses. Both bypass logic and rely on emotion. I know that's what you were saying, sometimes though it helps to elaborate.

  It seems to me the world would be a better place if all organized religions were gone.

  This world would be a better place without Diety worship...

  I dislike entering into some of these discussions as they are ultimately pointless. I too believe the world would be better off without organized religion. Individual worship of a Diety seems pretty harmless though. If there really were an all powerful God, couldn't he or she cause all humans to become aware of this and follow the same rules without the aid of some human potentate?

  It's official: I'm a man who carries a purse

  this evening i was walking into the local fourth of july celebration grounds and had to pass through the security point where they check everyones' bag to make sure no one brings in any potentially explosive coca-cola, chips, hot dogs or other dangerous outside food.. one guy looked in my back pack while another guy told me that no back packs are allowed inside.

  i pointed to the woman directly in front of me who passed through with a hugh purse that was literally bigger than my back pack and asked why she was allowed in.

  the guy said that purses are allowed, but not back packs.. "well, hell, this isn't a back pack!

  Cool! Honestly though, how could someone not like her? Her style is pretty flexible too, it makes great background music but crank up the volume and you can work to it.

  Do you also wear Tevas and listen to Tori Amos?

  Just took the Teva's off, I see them all over the place now days. Great sandals, functional and durable. Although I've heard of Tori Amos of course, I don't think I've ever heard her music. I like Sarah McLachlan...does that count?
