Again, I would like to thank you Blondie for all the great work you are doing everyweek with these reviews of the WT study. I just read this thread after doing the WT and I noticed that alot of the things you comment on I'm starting to notice.....
Commenting on this verse (1 Samuel 18:18), one scholar wrote: "David?s meaning was, that neither on personal grounds, nor on account of his social standing, nor because of his lineage, could he make the slightest pretension to the honour of becoming the son-in-law of the king." Who is the scholar mentioned here?
I was wondering when I looked at that. It seems like every week the WT contains some quote from some anonymous scholar, doctor, scientist etc... supporting what the society is trying to teach. Has anyone called or written to the society to find out exactly who these mysterious people are (I doubt they really exist)? We all know about the wts and how it uses quotes to it's advantage, but has anyone ever confronted the issue with them?
