My husband worries all the time that he is not doing enough to please Jehovah.He feels he must do more.He is a good and honest man but in the eyes of the organization he is not doing enough .

I on the other hand feel that I am saved by the grace of god and as long as I follow the golden rule.

So I feel I am better off ,I dont have ulcers worrying all the time.

What I worry about is if armagedon came how would women be treated?

to the posters who still go and used to go to the meetings and any elders out there.. when you are giving the public talk what is going through your head when you stare out at all the sheep hanging on your every word?.

if you dont believe it anymore how can you stay so serious?when you say something you really dont believe what thoughts are going through your head?would you really like to give your own jwd talk?.

i dont know if this has already been posted .sorry if it has.

i understand the above wt in letters to the readers takes time to tell all that the holy spirt is not a person ( still a thing like electricty).

it cannot believe they can tell the people that they cannot be indwelt by the holy spirit .but they can believe they can be indwelt with demons.....go figure that one.!!!!.

i was visiting my mother yesterday, and she related some disappointment with, what i believe was last thursday's meeting.

apparently, in the km, they were giving instruction on how to behave at this year's convention (as they do every year).

however, it was pointed out that when going out to eat after a convention day, that the brothers and sisters should not be laughing loud, or being noisy in general.

a girl i was dating 'bout 5 years ago was a member of the church of the later day saints, known to it's members as lds.

joseph smith, the book of mormon, you know the bit.

she invited me to attend services on a sunday and i agreed.

I burst out in laughter and even though I tried to muffle it with a handkechief it was loud enough to stop the speaker and train about 1000 eyes on me, including Dawn's. She gave me the "evil eye" that all men know. I knew. I decided to leave and laughed all the way out the door. Needless to say I didn't get "Lucky" that night

made my day i burst out laughing just thinking of you sitting there.

when i left the witnesses i tried the mormons for awhile.i liked the people very much

but they like the tithing money,except for not believing in the religion I found them to be very thoughtful and helpful people

and they have more fun than JWS,they believe in higher education and storing provisions for a year.I think they have alot of good qualities

AND the nurse is unethical to talk about ANYpatient. Where I live, said nurse would lose his/her license.

Wasnt there a wathctower or awake article that said a person working in the medical field must report to the elders if she knows a patient has come to the medical facility with a problem such as having an abortion, taking blood or anything else they might find that goes against the societies teachings.

maybe someone here can find the article i am talking about

Trinity

my husband's cousin just called to offer me a book on the trinity.

my husband had told her that i didn't believe in the trinity.. i'm having a really hard time being open to the trinity.

i have jehovah and jesus drilled in to my head as separate entities.

i belive in god and his son jesus and the holy spirit which i belive to be a real spirit.

you are baptized in the name of the father,the son and the holy spirit

thats as far as i go.... i dont believe they are one, but three distinct personalities with a common goal
