I have compared what the Witnesses teach to other things I have been taught. I was raised "christian" (not as a witness) and no matter where I am w/ religion...I always bounce back to what you would call Babylon the Great. To me, it is an unbelievable slap in the face to hear witnesses talk about Babylon the Great..knowing that they are talking about the churches that I have gone to..I really love those places. And to know that when they talk about Christians, they mean that my family members are not real "Christians." I know they are. Whoever says that I am not a true Christian because I don't go to meetings three times a week and because I smoke and because I have peircings ect..that is not right to me. And no, they have not flat out said that to me..they are so evasive in their answers, it is unbelieveable. But I also know that that is what they have been taught to do, and basically, I feel sorry for them. I believe that I can be a Christian and not be a Jehovah's Witness. I honestly try my best every day and want to be good in God's eyes.
OK I just rambled on, sorry. I would just like you to see that there is alot of useful information that you could consider, and that would be good for you to find out. We aren't gonna brainwash you here, promise. lol

I am happy that you brought up Babylon the Great. I have some thoughts on Babylon to present to everyone. I will be on here later to elaborate if Jehovah is willing. I say this sincerely because I want to follow Jehovah and accomplish His will no matter what. Thanks Sarah.

One problem I have with this assertation is that following God isn't just suppose to benifit you in afterlife or post-apocolypse, it's also supposed to improve your life in the meantime. Now I'm not expecting that every JW is going to be dancing around with flowers in their hair, but the vast majority of the ones I've known are plagued with problems of mental illnes (especially depression), drug abuse, broken homes, divorce, and similar maladies at a far greater rate than so-called worldly people are. No matter how much "the light shines brighter as the day draws nearer" the sad state of JW's never seems to change (the stories of many of the people on this site will attest to that fact). I've also seen first hand how folling the teachings of Jesus as interpreted by the GB has been the direct cause of this misery. Now if someone experiences misery from following a certain course of action how can you reasonably expect them to keep following this course on the vauge promise that they will be rewarded with an everlasting life in which they will be expected to contiue following the same principles which made them miserable in the first place? what_truth?

If you have children you might be able to understand this in a larger perspective. Jehovah dealt directly with humans many years ago, and still many turned away from His ways. How much more so will people taking instruction from earthing man fall ? People have free will, and not all people are strong in faith. I have been weighed down before by this wicked world, and put complete faith in Jehovah. I have been blessed, without bragging, but state this in humility. Jehovah will take care of you if you believe in Him. This is what I mean when I state that I am a witness of Jehovah. I can testify to the fact that Jehovah will show you loving kindness if you choose to follow Him.

One thing for sure, learn to serve God and not earthling man. Many have found themselves serving the organization instead of Jehovah. Do not let this happen, and do not let earthling man judge you. Learn to put up with your brother always showing love first, and you will be rewarded.

Why are you concerned about the WTS copyright? They rip off everyone and everything, and when they give credit it is for a half truth or incorrect citation of a recognized authority. These guys don't deserve the time of day for who they are and you're worried about copyright... hmmm, do you realize the GB are killers with hands dripping blood. Lawrence

It is always good in God's eyes to be upright about everything and have respect for everyone. I am not sure what you are referring to when you mention dripping blood. If you are willing to make an accusation, then you should always provide evidence so that you do not slander someones good name.

Brownboy, if you had informed the elders of you being on an apostate site, wouldn't they be very unhappy with you? You say there is nothing wrong about being here, ( I agree, there isn't) But you are on an "apostate" site, according to the witnesses. And from when I did attend meetings, I remember them very clearly making it known that they believed this was very bad.
I REALLY hope for your own sake that you can open up your mind (not so that we can brainwash you or MISLEAD you) but so that you can see what the real truth about "The Truth" is and not what you have been taught.

Hi Sarah,

There is a reason that they warn people about apostate sites. An innocent person without a good foundation can easily be pursuaded to do wrong. That is the reasoning behind it. Believe me when I say, I have been trained by my experiences and will not sway easily. It is righteous in God's eyes to do good. The brothers and sisters at the hall are receiving instruction. I will try hard to bring anyone back to a spiritual wellness. But there will be a time when enough is enough. Jehovah will let me know in my heart when that time is.

As for you Sarah, please compare what you have learned to any other teaching. Please allow me to give you another point of view to what you may feel. I have experienced enough to have a good understanding and I am willing to share this with you. I am here to help those in need and who are willing.............have a great evening.

Very true. You must use every faculty available to you. Your thinking ability along with every perceptiveness that God gave to you. Thank you. I also noticed that you have used the NWT as yoiur source. I recall agreeing not to use this information on the internet in the license agreement. What do you think? Does anyone have the right to prevent any person from using what should be free to all? I think God's law might override the license agreement which should allow free usage of God's word.

i have been wondering who is the president of the watchtower society?

my mother told me that milton henschel died in 1993 and i have not heard of anybody ever replacing him?

my mom also told me that the society has 7 new corporations within the watchtower society.

Okay. There are at least two important corporations having their own leaders officers, vice president ond president. But does that mean the governing body itself is without any "president" or "leader? Is there no "primus interpares" ?
If so: For instance, what happens if the 10 members of the GB do NOT agree in an essential question? Who is the ultimate instance that is enough competent to tell the other members what is wrong or right? Many new upcoming questions cannot be answered only by an intensive bible study. Or are they going to ask Don Adams or Max Larson, who are NO GB-members, about their opinion in a specific important question? I cannot imagine how this system functions...

I have March 11th, 2005 as a critical point. Notice the two dates of November 2nd, and October 10th. This does not coincide with the exact date of March 11th, so it can occur any time. I can assure you that Mount Saint Helens is a sign of things to come. "The sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give it's light"

I calculated 42 months from September 11th, which I believe to be an important date. No big secret about this. As far as the volcano erupting, I will retract my assuredness, and restate that I believe it may have a significance. A lunar eclipse, and also a simple snow storm, could be in fulfillment of this prophecy. There is always more than one given prophecy to compare to in order to establish a fulfillment of prophecy. What do you think this prophecy means?

BB, this is a reasonable question:
Why haven't you informed the Elders at the KH about your activities here ?

How would you know if I have, or have not informed them Rabbit? You say that I haven't, how would you know this?
I have spoken with Elders in the congregation that I attend, and informed them of the reason that I left, and why I have returned. Is it wrong for me to question my beliefs, and also, is it wrong that I am spreading bible truths on the internet? Would Christ disapprove of my actions?
