what would be the correct and approved procedure for a "prodigal" son or daughter to come back to the society?.
i have this ex-girlfriend who is also babtized and lived a very wild life outside the organization, without ever getting kicked.
she moved a lot from city to city so nobody really noticed or knew.. now she said she repents and found jehova again and is going back.. live and let live, fine with me.. lol.. i only had written correspondence in the last decades with her.. i remarked that the proper way would be for her to go to the elders and "confess" all her sins.

She is making radical changes in her life I hear, returning to be a active and -non sinning- JW and even marrying a JW now.
I say there are rocks down that road.
But then again, I only wish good things to her. May she succeed and be happy.

Of course i also think it is thing between her and god only, but i wonder what the proper--bureaucratic--procedure would be inside the Organization.
P.S. No flames necessary, just wish to check if I am right on my claim of needing to confess to elders, etc.

Now we live in 2004... if we wish to adore God in the correct way then we need to associate with the correct religion.
The issues is: which one is the correct one?
Going from door to door I of course implied that JW is the correct one. With all its strings attached, if we liked it or not.

i could no longer carry the burden, and so after 30 years, i left.
Well it is a question of being repented or not. If you repent and atone, etc., if they see that you are really sorry for having broken Gods laws then they most probably will not disfellow you but only dicipline you otherwise.
It happened to me.
i know that south park can be a retarded show, but they have an episode about mormons, and i can't believe how accurate it is to mormonism and it also kinda resembles the jw movement.

I find myself hating of having to go to parties, I wonder what I will talk about after the first hour or so.

it's a safe bet that if you were raised as a jw, or if you came into it early in life, you have some strange ideas about money and finances.
the wt for decades made even minimal post-secondary education utterly taboo and only recently has capitulated that "some" extra schooling might be neccessary (associate degrees good, bachelors degrees bad).
the average youth raised a jw has little understanding of investment due to the apocalyptic worldview of the organization (why invest in a dying system when the big "a" is right around the corner?).

my friends have shown me this link here in england showing the fox network pillaring the bbc in this news report.. but here the people and press are behind the bbc and call the government report a complete whitewash.
the bbc is shown in russian and i have felt they have always reported the war very well, a lot better than fox news.. i think this reporter is a little harsh, how do you feel as americans?

for those of you are df'd and have children in the borg, i am going through a crisis.. i have two daughters 19 and 17 years of age and i was privileged to have met with them last night for about an hour.
i haven't seen them for about 7 months, and was able to convince them to meet with me.

Them being 19 and 17 and you being their father, it might as well be that they just wish to keep their distance as young people like to do from their parents, in that case there is little you can do. As far as i remember when I was a JW, the family of a disfellowed one was by no means "forbidden" to have contacts, family ties remain.
