think of all the time and energy you wasted sitting in meetings, going door to door and refraining from making friends and having enjoyable association with non dubs.
think about how much of your finite life is lost to you because you were a witness.
think about how foolish you looked, hanging on to the false teachings and empty hopes for the future.
Myself for many of the years as I knew 'it' was very flawed but went along anyway.
The fear of what to do with my life without 'it' held me back and so much by then had become habit.
But my parents, family etc. are quite happy, continuing to be blind.
i watched the classic video 'the wicker man'.
a bit dated, but a great story even so, and quite apt too.. and i shall have 'a little something', as winnie the pooh would say, before bedtime.. what did you do?.

i became part of the internet community around 2000, and one of the first things i type into google's search engine was "jehovah's witnesses.
" i was presented with an amazing number of websites devoted to jehovah's witnesses.. i clicked on one site, which really led me to a posting on a bulletin board.
at that time, i was a believing dub.

The only saving grace about attending some of the meetings, was the songs, and then not always.
right now there's a friend who needs a friend in sydney.. you've all 'been there' and can help him thru' it.. what do you say to someone who knows in his head that the borg just isn't right, yet was brought up "in the troof" and so knows nothing else.. then the borg's inhumane judicial procedures can cause unspeakable mental anguish and emotional disturbance.
yet at this time there's simply no-one to turn to - a recipe for disaster.. so....would you give some words of reassurance to our new friend?
tell him what it's like to be free of the borg.
Hi..You will be okay, better than ok, hard to believe but true. Maybe not today, but you will be soon.
Keep reading stuff on this site and others like it and you will heal. Others might try to pick at your healing wounds but try not to let them.

my friends and daughters say that i am more relaxed and i seem happier in my own skin.
which is just great, but when i first started reading stuff here i was a quivering mess, i was in shock, but spending more time researching things are now slotting into place.. .
