  i really am laughing.............my dad, bless his cotton socks, just sent a lovely picture holiday picture of himself and guess what??

  he is reading a watchtower you can clearly see the front cover and that was his point.

  even on holiday he is on duty...................funny really..

  Why is it even ex JW's run scared when they hear the word apostate?

  i just told them where i work as a volunteer, that i am going to a workshop for those that have left a cult tomorrow.

  they were all fascinated and wanted to know which cult i had belonged to.

  i said jw's and this one guy said i he used to be one of them.

  Has anyone heard of the drama triangle?

  i just realised i was in one.

  they aren't pleasant.. i found myself rescuing the whole time and nagging the person involved.

  i have never nagged in my life and i dont want to start now.. this isn't going to be easy but i know the relationship is not at all healthy and i have to get out.

  staying out of school assembly!

  does anyone else remember how awful school was because of the dreaded school assembly.. my whole school life was blighted because i couldn't go in.

  my young son can goes in and it is the best part of his day, he loves the hymns.

  how glad am i that i came to my senses before my son suffered like i did as a child.

  My daughter came home wearing a cross...........

  and it made me feel odd, unnerved.. i haven't been to a meeting for two years now and am quite anti jw but this still felt odd, to see her wearing a cross.

  any ideas?

  How have you changed since finding this forum?

  my friends and daughters say that i am more relaxed and i seem happier in my own skin.

  which is just great, but when i first started reading stuff here i was a quivering mess, i was in shock, but spending more time researching things are now slotting into place.. .

  just found it.

  i had been surfing around was born into the jw faith and was a po's wife for about 15 years and am now out in the big bad world and finding it slightly awesome.

  interested to see what happens now on in.
