Its weird how many of the Witness's do not really know the teachings of the Bible Students that they broke off from. They don't teach the same as the GB does and its refreshing.

Well if its reasonable and dose not trample on your god given conscious than these are just two clues to at lest stop and read it further. But ultimately search the scriptures out yourself, and yes don't listen to the GB when it says don't use other books but theirs and meet in groups and so on, dig for the truth you will find it if do, and of course pray for help.

Eclipse, that was a fantastic letter and who ever wrote it did so with love and concern for the brothers and sister that we all should mimic. I certainly hope as well as pray, that some will be moved by such reasoning as displayed in this letter. If just one person finds that letter to be refreshing who is a of the rank and file and or an elder than he will tell or show it to many more and so on, and gods spirit will do the rest, no matter how stiff necked the governing body is they are no match for Jehovah god and his son Jesus Christ.

I remember oh so many years ago there was this arrogant circuit overseer who came into my congregation were I attended his main talk was centered on secret sins. He felt the need to become quite graphic and relate with children present about a brother who would go to a motel and watch R rated movies and masturbate. I just could not help myself at the time but I burst out laughing at the shear stupidity of the comment, he looked daggers at me and demanded that I leave, so I looked right back at him and said hey sure man, and continued to laugh all the way down the isle, passing to look around at the other brothers and sisters and a few elders in my hall were finding it hard not to laugh them selfs. Since that time, I have come to realize just how pampas so many elders are, and how much I am glad I don't fool around with them any more, what a bunch of mallet heads.

I think if my family could have just had a Christmas tree and a few lights on our house it would have been fun as a kid. But, as it was my childhood was a dive cause I loved Christmas and felt a major part of my childhood was missing for not doing something with Christmas even if we could not afford the presents. HO HO HO
