BETHELITES - Whatever Became of?

i often times wonder what happened to certain bethelites that i ran around with during my 1990s tenure there.

while there are still a few left there, the greater majority of them aren't there for various reasons (marriage, disillusionment, left the borg, etc).

a couple of cats i wonder about - there was one brother who i believe was from kansas, who got his fingers cut off in a printing press.

the phrases still roll off my tongue, "a god of tender mercies", a god in whom there is no injustice", a god who "protects the little one.".

in spite of those worn out platitides, if i walked in to a court room and saw the name "jehovah god" in metallic letters on the door, i would ask my attorney to make a motion to have the judge recused.

i would prefer to take my judicial chances with any ticket-fixing, bribe-taking, alcoholic, mafia-controlled human judge than face the uneven, irrational and obscene judicial decisions made by god jehovah.. i cite the case of king david of israel.

The Ot says that God did everything to have people change but there came a point when he just had to act. I undestand how one can get angry with God.

I think(hope) that in the long scheme of things God will find a way to forgive everyone. We are all his creatures and all related to each other. Knowing the type of God that HE is, Almighty, I believe that there can even be hope for anyone in the distant future. In the meantme, God's justice must act to stop forces that harm the meek and helpless.

According to the new wts generation assigned definition, the 1914 generation is not going anywhwere. It is here to stay, as long as it takes until God brings in the gt Even if it takes 10 yrs, 20 years, or 100 years or even longer!

The wts has dealt with "'generation" by assignig it a new meaning. In due time, if it is necessary, the wts will also deal with 1914 and assign it a new understanding if needed!

It does not matter how many times in the new testament and how many times Jesus consistently used generation to mean contemporaries and it dont matter what generation means. The wts has assigned the word generation in jesus prophecy a new meaning. Since the wts is God's agency, they are right! (until they get new light that is) In the meantime it is gopsel truth.
