I would rather be poor in The USA than rich in modern Europe. Given the opportunity Europe will again become imperialistic. I said again. Europe has now the Euro aproach but give it time or chance and they will bonb if they have to.

"Why does America always bomb other countries?", my son asked tonight.
by digderidoo infirst of all i do not want to turn this into an american bashing thread, that is not my intention at all.. i would like to hear americans opinions as to what my thirteen year old son asked me tonight.. on the way back from swimming tonight my two sons (13 and 11) and myself started talking about wars.
my 11 year old was the first to bring it up talking about wwi & ww2.
we had an interesting conversation about it, then the subject got onto nuclear bombs.

The US does not bomb everyone. That is a mistaken observation. But the US does seem to be sending a message to enemies and that Is that the US wil invade your country, will dethrone and kill you. On the otherhand the US opens the door and allows immigrants from all parts of the world to take refuge in the US and to be viewd the same as any other American.

Is it evil to experiment and torture animals and cause pain and suffering for the purpose of survival and defense?
Yes it is but a necessary evil. Not that one can say that the bombing of Iraq is necessary that is not the point. But one has to look at the whole picture. Bombings and imperialism is necessary for the survival of the US. Has to be top dog or wind up with scraps.
I suppose people would be singing a diffrent tune if they were living on their knees then they would want freedom at any cost.

Too bad for the Indians, but If the Indians were here today, chances are that you would be dead or never had beeb born and many of us too if not most or all.
The US must be imperialistic for its own survival and if it runs out of oil it will take Iraqs or Kwaits or any oil it wants or better yet, it will take their oil before theirs runs out first.
Or lets be nice about it. Why dont we share? Lets start with what you Own IP. Lets give it everything you own to the needy.

The Bible says that God gave the land of Caanan to the "jews" and that is why the land was taken from the "Palestinians" and returned to the Jews.
Please, will you kindly give your land to the Indians. It was wrongly stolen from them. How about it? Anyone here?

Shortsighted.
Play chess?
Other nations are on the move, they do not attack because they are hemmed in, but give them an opportunity and they will! It is conquer or be conquered. That is the reality of the world we live in.

America's bombing of other countries is part of a bigger picture.
If you had a choice, to be a slave and live on your knees for the rest of your life or to bomb another country what would you choose. Enjoying American freedom you may say it does not come to that. But it does. Given the opportunity another country will bomb subjugate the US for it own good and so it it so sad the world is like this but it is better to be the ones bombing than the ones being bombed. It is very sad and wrong but that is the way the world is.
I would prefer if the US did not bomb anyone.
Once there was a man that lived in his tent. During a sandstorm, a camel asked if he could put only one hoof in the tent. To make a long story short, the camel pushed the man out of the tent.
It comes down to imperialism ultimately.
