  Seen an Angel witnessing...

  here in france we received instruction to stand back from the cart.. so you can see "angels" witnessing with a cart by its own, no one around, and no one cares, i stayed a while, did my shopping, and half an hour later the "poor angel" was still there on his own.... i guess wherever is the publisher, he s hard working counting his hours..

  Are you saying that the WT does not see the Christ's invisible presence and they do not not see the angels directing the preaching work? I think that you are going insane because I believe that they do. Besides that,THEY PUBLISH that you will be forced to see.

  Latest rumor - all WT construction "suspended", except for Warwick

  heard 4th-hand, but from a full-on believer, so not likely to be an "apostate lie":.

  apparently, at bethel's morning worship this morning, it was announced that all worldwide wts construction is "suspended" for an indefinite time, except for the new world headquarters at warwick.. also, the "relocation" of remote translating teams is also suspended.. finally, there will be a "worldwide" reduction in bethel personnel.. all this came to me in a non-english language, and,as noted, 4th-hand.

  so it is possible something may have been lost in translation and/or in the multiple steps between bethel morning worship & me.. but if true, it would be quite stunning.

  first off, i'd like to state that i currently have "privileges" in the congregation and volunteer at bethel on and off throughout the year.

  that's as much information as i will currently give about myself.. starting off, i think something big is coming in the form of lawsuits and bad pr.

  they seem to be batting down the hatches in preparation for something the last few years and even more so the last few months.

  Wake up! It does not cost 850+ millions to build Warwick.

  They may be worrying more about what will happen in the next couple of years than how bad things are right now

  It is a concern.

  They should not have to use the money from the sale of the properties to operate the WT. Also, they need as much $ as they can possibly get now to prepare for the financial hard times ahead. People are not donating as much as they did in the past because they cannot afford to and if the economy follows the same pattern, people will not be able to afford to donate. Besides that, the cost of doing business has almost tripled withing the last few years, and you need to have at least a minimum of double the amount of capital to operate than before. Everything costs double the price or more, so money does not buy much, also, the more financially strong, the more power to buy, to negotiate, to invest, to grow, to exist.... Wt must put itself in an extremely powerful financial position to operate with plenty of room, They will have plenty of $ left over to operate after Warwick, but that money should be used to generate more money and not to spend it.

  Today's financial situation is not like years ago when someone went into McDonald's for a burger and took took loads of napkins, etc... Everything adds up and WT is saving every penny. And they need to get as much $ now that they can.

  Some years ago, I bought a chess book with a dust cover that had an illustration of a chess game. The picture showed advancing opponent chess pieces with sadistic expressions on their faces, ( more so on the opponent's queen) surrounding an evidently doomed king. The funny thing about the illustration is that the seemingly doomed king had a big red mustache and a grin on his face, and behind his back, unseen to his opponents, his hand was armed with a massive fire weapon, cocked and ready.

  I think that the illustration meant that, (of course you do not win at chess using illegal chess moves) he knew that victory was at hand.

  Believe whatever you like. What is the matter? What I post is too bitter your taste? My money is on the WT. Shall I make fun of you now to make my post more valid? Who cares about what you admire or views as to who has more patience, as if you were some authority here.

  100 year of marching victoriously, every day, through the Court streets of Kings County, proclaiming victory against all failed legal efforts to stop the WT. And like it.

  For those of us who know, Warwick land was bought cheap enough and Warwick construction is cheap.Labor and design is the most expensive part of a building project relative to the cost of the land, and it is free. There is a push to complete Warwick; WT wants to get out of Kings county ASAP before all hell breaks loose, they want to direct the work from Warwick. The original plan was to complete the project by 2017, contingencies and obstacles are slowing things down. WT also has agreements with the buyers of their Sands property. True, they also believed this to be the case in the past, but WT is expecting something big to hit soon by 2017 and they want to be in Warwick when they believe it will.

  How do JW view these cutback changes the WT could do? Not bad. JW have come to their own personal conclusions that something big is going to hit so they are not concerned with cutbacks or stopped building projects, they see this in relation to world catastrophe and not WT failure. How will individual Bethelites take it if they are sent home? Not good. I suppose a lot will be angry or disappointed. (why me? attitude)

  But do you really think that JWs would be so disappointed about WT expansions, projects, building, KHs, etc, and another 100 years of preaching and invisible rulership? Everyone wants system destruction not construction, and if something bigger than 1914 realized, hopes for the imminent end would be livened ; It is exciting not disappointing.

  Financial problems continued to escalate every year after donation arrangement for literature, assembly food and parking, etc were mandated. But materials were cheap enough, the economy was ok, and besides that, the end would come by the generation limit around the corner-back then. It was lifesaving to get the literature out and for the work to continue even as a personal expense But we live in a world today where people do not go to the library much and buying of internet has bankrupted or is crippling store front businesses. And information about God and the future and the Bible does not depend on a knock on the door or JW fascinating literature; That does not contribute to ww donations.

  Donations is what helps finance the WT. The economy is in crisis. And IT IS NOT GROWING. The WT needs to extremely curtail all unnecessary spending and save as much voluntary donations, (calling to everyone that wants to voluntarily support the WT and giving them a last opportunity to do so now) to prepare for the hard times ahead so that they have the assets to spend when needed.

  Will the lawsuits cripple the WTS financially? Depends on how many and how much. People are crippled and killed each year including children because of negligence from the government and private entities;They don't pay much and they have been known to pass laws to limit the amount of money that gov will pay out. Private entities will declare bankruptcy and insurances will not pay much either. WT has enemies that want to try to put the WT out of business and that is what is behind the WT billion dollar lawsuits; And forcing the WT to pay many millions for such while the gov and private entities almost never have to pay so much. So it is really about using the legal system as a means to get at the WT.

  WT seems vulnerable because nothing ain't happened after 100 year " lifesaving" message, and there are a lot of angry people out there that want to get at the WT. I think that these lawsuits and RC, etc is going to backfire. WT wallpaper proclaims embarrassment of gov actions against WT in the past. Wt did not sue.

  Something has been unfolding for a while now and JW are eagerly waiting for that fat lady to sing now that Yogi Bera is dead, but they do not blame the WT.

  what if the society know it only has to lose one big case to lose a whole set of cases on precedent of the first case?.

  this means they will lose millions of dollars in lawsuits and settlements.

  which means their financial stability is under threat.
