What is truth?
by Heisenberg inwell, i have been lurking on this site for several months and i recently decided to join as a member.
i have made several observations and would like to make a few comments.. first, i am perplexed by the attitude of many on this site that are either former or active (but apostate) jws.
they seem to have a strong hatred for the wts and also for rank and file jws.

Would a loving creator give humans the gift of free will?
by Heisenberg inthey say ignorance is bliss... well, i wish that god did not give adam free will.
i am ok to not have free will if it means i will live forever in perfect paradisiac conditions.it has been explained that free will is a gift from god.
they say 'who would want to live life like a robot?

My life experience tells me there's no one there.
POI mine does and believe me I have suffered more than most. When people tell me that God has not given them any evidence to base their faith upon, I am dumbfounded. God gives solid evidence to people to experience so they can put their mind at ease and have hope -at least that is what I have personally experienced and I am not any more special than anyone.

POI, I cannot bear even to think about such things -let alone watch a video! God will have to provide reasons one day. Same as you feel, I do not know if I would be able to accept those reasons, at least when I think about it now I cannot understand, and figure that there cannot be any justification from my sense of good and bad but i have chosen to trust and put my good faith in God and wait for his explanation. I just cannot believe that he is to blame. I trust him with my life. I will wait and see what He has to say and then I will see if my heart can accept it. Deep in my heart, I just know that he is innocent.. -

-----If he was a loving creator......
You are attempting to measure God with your ruler. Even then, it is not just to convict anyone without having all of the facts and especially without having the patience to listen to the defense's side.

Where in the world has the GOD of the Bible been these past 2000 years? He certainly has not been here. -Smiddy

I like the NWT rbi8. I think that it is a magnificent masterpiece ( but what do I know ) and read it same as I would a poem. I really enjoyed its allusive literary style, and mastery of the English language it uses to interpret the translation. The NWT highlights by its style of writing that the text refers to more than the context. -

Evidence of Human Activity in Northern Siberia 45,000 years ago.
by fulltimestudent inthis information makes the biblical dating of human origins a sad joke.
quote: " when they dated the remains, the researchers got another surprise: the mammoth died 45,000 years ago.
that means that humans lived in the arctic more than 10,000 years earlier than scientists believed, according to a new study.

Natural disasters prove beyond all reasonable doubt that the god of christian theism does not exist.-Cofty
Your argument is not a proof. It is only an argument that purports to show your formula to work.

As time passes days get longer. There was a time when a day of creation was only 7000 years long and the earth was not billions of years old. All be it, at most, all that can ever be shown is a dilemma (paradox) but no dilemma could ever disprove the existence of God although evidence could (only) show at most that Bible interpretations are wrong.. -

How the Bible disproves the JWs' 1914 invisible presence doctrine.
by Island Man inwatchtower teaches jws that christ's presence began invisibly in 1914. they also teach that the start of christ's presence coincides with the start of the last days.
whether you believe in the bible or not, watchtower claims these teachings come from the bible.
so does the bible actually agree with them?
