JW religion is just as extreme as any other religion, Jews, Moslems, and others have their rules and views too. THis would not be the first time that iconic religion was behind the gov against wt if this is the case now.

RF was one of the younger members of the gb. At morning worship it seemed as if he was the one always doing the talking. Very gifted speaker and very popular, liked and very respected by young bethelites even in comparison to the older gb. NHK was having health problems and so in timing with that the different comittess were formed and his power was distributed to the committes,
Everyone was expecting 1975. Work hours were long and so was the work week and the comitment was for 4 years. !975 passed and there wee a lot of unhappy people that wanted to leave but could not because they signed uo for 4 years, so 1n 1976 the change was to 1 year and in May1976 all those unhappy counttry boys and Californians, etc packed up and went back home. Some stayed a year or so longer and then when nothing happened -or whaetver the reason-, they also went back home. In 1977 NHK died. (closed casket if I recall)
RF had his way of looking at things and had his on way of thinking on how things should be done different from powerful old timers (such AS) and RF would not go along. FF would be appointed as the next wt president. RF did not go along with majority and wanted to go in a different direction.
It is very easy just to tell someone to go along with flow it is different when it happens to you and then it is not so easy. Seems that RF got overpowered , go angry and the left.

i think its obvious that transgenders and homosexuals are easily banned in jwdom because the people in question were clearly born with their respective sex organs.. however.
what about intersex people aka hermaphrodites?

Did The Witnesses Predict the United Nations in Advance?
by TD init's been reported on this forum that bethel speakers at this summer's conventions are asserting that the establishment of the united nations in 1945 was predicted in advance by the witnesses.
this is being presented as validation of the claim that the witnesses are god's one true organization directed by holy spirit.. .
the basis for this claim originates with a public address entitled, peace - can it last given by n.h. knorr at the new world theocratic assembly, on september 20 of 1942. .

by joey jojo init has been 21 years since the 1995 article that pretty much buried the idea of the '1914 generation'.. remember those guys?
the ones born in 1914 that would still be alive when the end of the system arrived.. i'm glad i'm old enough to remember going from door to door, preaching this belief.
the reason i say that is because i have a lot of 'still in' jw friends and family.

But you say 'Can you imagine the humiliation and defeat if wt looses?' But there was no humiliation and defeat, they just move on with a new understanding.
UC, 100+ years of doomsday preaching that the world is going to end has a limit. Either the God of JW must act or the wt movement will not last.

UC, as I pointed out to you in my previous post, it ain't about the watchtower, like your dad, myself and other JW and hopefully you and Prologos ,we hold God to his promise in the Bible, We don't blame the wt because it ain't happened. "Let your kingdom come." no?
UC holds the wt to its litterature, jw ask God to act, not blame the wt because he hasn't., it is his move now. not the wt. All featiured of the sign of 1914 including the preaching -whether or not the preaching was and intentional fulfilment of Bible prophesy -Math 26:54- have happened. Only thing that is missing is the disgusting thing. Jw have run out of dates. My heart goes out to you UC, maybe your father will rejoice if you live through it instead of him.
JW are all in- win or loose. Can you imagine the humiliation and defeat if wt looses? But if they if they win.......I do not think that jw enemies should expect any mercy from God -at least that is what the wt teaches.

UC, I feel what you are saying. But what the Bible promises does not depend on the wt conclusions. IT is God that has made those promises and he could have done so after Jesus paid the price. Why drag it out so long? People are still paying the price. Seems like a contradiction, seems unjust. Anyway, God has his price, everything after that is just timing. Now it is up to God to keep his word and he can if he wants to at any time after the ransom was paid, even when your dad was alive and even in your time or later on. Jw highlight what God has promised. But it is up to God to do it. Not wt.
