  Is this another Trump backflip?

  we've seen one backflip.

  crooked hillary became a hard-working woman who deserves the nations praise (in his victory speech);.

  Trump's political inexperience is obvious but all he needs to do is to surround himself with experienced politicians that are running the country already - and maybe listen to them, which seems to be the case from his remarks about Obamacare, etc. AS for breaking laws, all people in High Office break laws and get away with it, except when they happen to be an unpopular target -like Trump for instance, I say, give the man a chance. We will see effects soon enough.

  Most people that voted for Trump know that he said a lot of things with the purpose of getting elected and also know the limits of his power when sitting in the seat of power -but what Trump said reveals his thinking and the direction of his policies when elected and that is one reason why people voted for him. His voters believe that he can only do what he can which is a lot more than what his opponents were going to do. It is very revealing to see what people want and the people voted for the many things TRUMP SAID. If the people did not want the things that Trump said he would do, they would not have voted for him.

  Surely if Satan was cast down, there would be some sort of phenomenon

  How do you know that?

  But , with respect to 1914 as the date that Satan is actually "cast down" to earth (whatever that actually means) as the related scripture states, is a belief, a conclusion sort of speak. A noteworthy statement by Jesus -"I saw Satan falling." - alludes to such an event.

  However, you seam to miss the point here. It was the watchtower, and not the JWs that put this thought into the minds of JWs at that time in history.

  WT never said outright that "the end" would come in 1975 but the literature and thinking circa 1975 implied that if it did it, the event would converge with Bible chronology; but the wt also concurrently published in the ASI book that the time of creation of Eve and the end of 6th Creative day was an unknown variable that was a factor affecting any conclusions about 1975.- Fisherman

  My statement is supported by the talk linked by Blondie . Listen to it. The speaker says "possibly" in reference to 1975.

  It does not seem at all possible to me because no one could be able to orchestrate all of the elements that fit so perfectly. I am a very skeptical and analytic person and I am convinced -and not because the wt says so.

  cast down to earth at so late a year in history

  The irony of the original serpent eating dust all the days of his life. It is an allusion to the fate of the Satan in the last days. Seems that Satan had a penchant for the earth.
