Can some one please explain Deuteronomy 23:12-13
by Jayk inat a bible study when i was younger i read this scripture out loud and totally did with a straight face realising what they were talking about halfway through it.
i think i start reading in verse 12 "when evening falls, he should wash with water, and then he may return to the camp at sunset.+ 12 a private place* should be designated for use outside the camp, and there is where you should go.
13 a peg should be part of your equipment.

in San Diego and having to deal with this from householders as you go from door-to-door?
Do you think that California will even have time for this case? Have you read the news lately about the flood of Hollywood actors and politicians in the limelight being accused of sexual charges?

Watchtower Loses an Appeal
by TerryWalstrom inpublication court of appeal, fourth appellate district division one state of california osbaldo padron, plaintiff and respondent, v. watchtower bible and tract society of new york, inc., defendant and appellant.findingwatchtower has abused the discovery process.
it has zealously advocated its position and lost multiple times.
yet, it cavalierly refuses to acknowledge the consequences of these losses and the validity of the court's orders requiring it to produce documents in response to request number 12. and, in a further act of defiance, watchtower informed the court that it would not comply with the march 25, 2016 order 39 requiring it to produce documents responsive to request number 12. the court, following lopez, supra, 246 cal.app.4th 566, as an incremental step toward terminating sanctions if watchtower persists in its unjustified conduct, imposed monetary sanctions.

I'm surprised that WTS hasn't moved the files out of the USA and claimed US Courts have no jurisdiction regarding them.
Court Order to produce the files in the US would be valid.
Or, have someone destroy them who then flees the US.
WT would be responsible.
It appears that at this time wt does not budge from its position that the court order is not valid. The case is not over; Let's see what happens but sanctions and pressure tactics and wt criticism don't make the Court Order any more valid than it is if it is not valid to begin with.

Biblical incidents that bothered me.
by EverApostate ini wanted to discuss the (supposed) biblical events that disturbed me a lot when i was a jw.
these incidents were just read and discussed in the kingdom hall as if these are normal and justified, which clearly weren't.
perhaps this led to my awakening.

EA, I have commented on this on previous threads. To sum it up, God not only requires justice but is also the avenger of his people, I for one, when I am being harassed, God can do whatever it takes to bring me relief. You don't have to like it or think vengeance is just, too bad.

Latest perspective of the San Diego Reader on WTs loosing its $4000 per day sanctions Jehovah's Witnesses' withheld info will cost them
I think that wt still argues the Court's authority. I also think that there is no challenging the powers of the Court and that the Court does not always act having authority. If it turns out that the Court does not have authority to compel wt to disclose documents for example in this case then wt is not required to comply with the order or to pay the sanctions. But at this time, as much as the Court and the other party want to force wt to disclose the documents, the Court's authority is in dispute -seems to me. All of this commentary and other attempts to pressure wt to comply do not legalize the Court Order or Sanctions or whatever it is that is in dispute. When it is all over, we shall see who wins this case -but it ain't over yet.

2 witness rule
by punkofnice ini'm gobsmacked.. the 7 rock star popes in warwick know darned well that the 2 witness rule allows child rapists to get away with their crime.. geoff (whacko jacko) jackson was at the australian royal commission and should have seen first hand what a vile man made law the 2 witness rule is.. my question is, why do they still insist on this pervert protecting rule?.
i know it's a highly controlling cult but still...........................stuff my old boots, mate!.
the above is more a rhetorical question.

You shouldn't go around lynching everybody as a prophylactic remedy for child abuse. If the church is required to report any accusations or beliefs or suspicions of child abuse, that can also become grounds to require the church to report other criminal conduct by its members as well. Therfore, any protected church communication can be disclosable, not only those of a criminal nature, but also personal information as well including testimony of church elders, in any criminal or civil proceedings.

A child who says "I have been abused/raped/touched, etc is the first witness. The second witness may very well be the medical report that the police would pursue if and when they were contacted. The second witness then becomes the physical evidence that the doctor finds. Like ripped anal tissue, vaginal tears, etc. Second witness is forensic evidence that is discovered if and when the child is taken to the police/doctor.
You are trying to pass off your personal beliefs and personal definitions of what is evidience, plaintiff or witness as blanket International requirements that should cover every jurisdiction, fact is they don't, you are confused. In the US, it doesn't take much to have someone investigated for child abuse but you can't go around accusing people of charges. If such accusations turn out to be false, the person making false accusation faces defamation proceedings besides ruining the life and reputation of an innocent person. Who would ever trust someone with a child who was accused of child abuse even if he later was found not guilty in Court? Some people don't care.

There is a population in NYC of 8.5 million people, there are aprox 8.3 million!! JWs and growing and about 10.5 million people study the bible with JW. That's a lot of JW! Imagine taking a trip to NYC and everyone that you saw and spoke to is JW there, everywhere. There are about 3 million JW in the US (knocking on every door they see).

Now that's a bizarre thing to say. Nobody said or implied child abusers shouldn't join churches.
How is it bizzare and I never said that anyone said that child abusers shouldn't join churches. Again, if you could only read, in the Conti case it was established at the trial that it was known to competent authorities that Kendricks abused a minor before he abused Candace. Had he not been allowed by statute to join a church, he could not have had access to Candace, but instead, the authorities unleashed the perpetrator without warning upon society expecting the church to do their police work for them, the church not being legally required to do so.
Disclaimer: Kendricks was never criminally convicted beyond reasonable doubt of abusing Candace and maintains his innocence.
