They don’t have to admit that all of the anointed are not FDS for example.

Also, interpretation of BiBle prophecy is not a prediction whether it turns out true or false. It was Jesus who prophesied aka predicted the last days. He spoke in symbolic language so he obviously wanted his disciples to form a belief. Such interpretation of Jesus’s prediction, what he meant by it is only a belief, a conclusion, an interpretation— and not a prediction.

The entire Bible needs to be translated and interpreted not only prophecy: remove the turban and lift off the crown it will not be the same put on high even what was low and remove even the high one a ruin a ruin a ruin I shall a ruin I shall make it and it shall certainly become no ones until he comes who had the legal right and I must give it to him 7 times will pass over you until you know that God is ruler in the kingdom of mankind and to the one he wants to he gives it even to the lowliest of mankind this one will be called God holy Gods son and God will give him the throne of David his father. Jerusalem will be trampled by the nations until the Gentile Times are fulfilled. JW interprets this to mean 1914 the year this was fulfilled. That is interpretation not speculation and not prediction….

What about the ark and the city of refuge etc

There was only one Ark. Cities of refuge were also numbered. The provision for salvation came from God not a la carte. Only one way from God to delegated authority. Everyone had to submit to that way of doing things.

Brother Fisher caught my eye.

JW unlike “Christendom” have changed their beliefs and will change their beliefs because of better understanding of scripture and because they don’t claim to be infallible. JW admit they’ve been wrong.

WT conclusions or interpretations are on what the scriptures mean, the best evidence for that is the ancient text.

probably, the greatest advocacy for the gospels is the jw publication: the greatest man that ever lived.

it convinced me.. everything else that the bible says about the resurrection and eternal life logically follows.. the testimony of a “witness” in court matters only if it is observation not commentary ( expert witness is also commentary): what did you see, what did you hear, what is the magnitude of your measurement.

not, are you convinced; that is only belief.

Probably, the greatest advocacy for the Gospels is the JW publication: The Greatest Man that Ever Lived. It convinced me.

The testimony of a “witness” in Court matters only if it is observation not commentary ( expert witness is also commentary): What did you see, What did you hear, What is the magnitude of your measurement. Not, are you convinced; that is only belief. Although evidence and testimony are convincing to the mind, one can only know for a fact by observation, experience and measurement. When studying the Gospels, a person can become convinced but to know anything at all, the person would need direct evidence from God—a taste to actually witness about.

I didn’t say specifically stated. All I said was “refers”.

And there are good reasons to believe WT interpretation of the verse.

faithful and discreet slave is every Christian who will hear Jesus say, "Well done my good and faithful servant!"

That too, but the scripture specifically refers to a group of people with a divine assignment on earth at the time of the end.

Yes, you may want to come back so family members will talk to you again

Why in the world would you want to talk to people that do not want to talk to you even if it is family. And then blame wt for its rules. Blame the family who made that choice.

On the other hand I am sure you can understand a father who’s son took up smoking or drugs or a life of immortality and left the way of salvation and was df with the hope that consequences of being df would straighten out some of his thinking. Im also sure you understand the despair of a father watching his son on the wrong path in life. He won’t tolerate that conduct and doesn’t want his son smoking using drugs or pursuing conduct that will harm his son. What father doesn’t love his son and doesn’t want the best for him? There is no other acceptable way. The son must stop or choose to hurt his loved ones. He is free to do so but he cannot have his JW father’s approval. More painful for the father thsn for the son.

Take for example a father that leaves JW and starts celebrating the holidays and is angry with JW. He may have grandkids from believing children and compassionately the son allows his df father to see and spend time with his grandchildren but what happens is that the df grandfather starts giving the kids birthday presents and easter bunnies and calls them on the phone wishing them merry christmas and so on so the JW decides not to allow the children to communicate with the df grandfather. And that’s that.
