Conclusion: Jerusalem is Revelation’s Babylon
No, because BTH is guilty of Idolatry whereas Jerusalem learned its lesson after the Babylonian captivity and did not practice idolatry again. In Jesus’ day, Jesus foretold the destruction of Jerusalem not because it was acting like Babylon the Great as described in Revelation but because they rejected God’s son, fought against God’s Holy Spirit and had Jesus mur&erd. Also, Jerusalem did not suffer the fate of Babylon the great and the events that follow the destruction of BTG did not transpire after 70CE. In fact, the Jews reorganized in Javneh and founded Rabbinical Judaism to this day.—Besides the modern day Republic of Israel —with Jerusalem. Obviously, Babylon the Great is another entity.

In the Bible, the city of Jerusalem, the Jewish mother organization representing the system of worship for Israel is personified as the wife of God ( “Where is the divorce certificate if the mother of you people which I sent away. “ In the Christian Scriptures, the New Jerusalem also symbolizes the wife of Christ, the church, true religion. It would fit the bill if Babylon the great turns out to be false religion.

The identity of the Genesis serpent for example was interpreted by John in Revelation about 1600 years later. Not to mention the identity of the disgusting thing causing desolation spoken by Daniel in the Babylonian diaspora interpreted by Jesus circa 33CE and finally realizing in the Roman armies in 70CE, and the messianic prophecies realizing in Jesus—to a different audience, etc… so your view seriously fails here.

There is. For example, a couple of years ago a new method of interpreting prophecy was explained at a wt study which established a basis for some aspects of a prophecy not to have a greater fulfillment or exact parallel while other parts do have multiple fulfillments.
The entire Bible is decoded by JW commentary. What remains is the realization of JW eschatology.: Cry of peace and security and the end of religion. JW are not pretending or putting on a show, they are convinced.

You shouldn’t conclude that from my post. I don’t know about you individually. I just meant that all JW are sinful people like everybody else. So I wouldn’t be concerned about my reputation. Look at Peter, look at David or at anybody. Everybody sins. And that’s what the ransom is for. —Does that sound cultish?

Even if you stay, who has a perfect reputation from gb down to joe pub 3rd class? And maybe not in public. But everybody is human so nobody is any better. Some have better self control than others. There is a difference between being wicked and being weak. In public and formally there is an appearance. So do you care in the least what people think about you. Don’t you believe in God can exalt you and humiliate others?

It is not Rome because the great tribulation and Armageddon did not happen and neither did Rome suffer the same fate as BTG.

If that is the case, end of discussion.
Now, if we consider that the Bible is the word of God as a given factor, then we are looking for values of variables such as the meaning of BTG using the entire Bible as an equation
Since we already know the answer when we consider the Bible is a sham, we are not trying to validate the Bible in this equation. That is a different equation —and subject —and being a troll —and disruptive. The book of Revelation describes the fall of Babylon the great, the great tribulation, Armageddon, the Millennium, Resurrection of the dead, etc.
