When I saw 2 new members adopted, it indicated to me that it was to replace some1 not some2 but doesn’t rule out more than one. AM was down to earth. I liked his sincerity. His directness in his lectures stood out from the indirectness of the others which caught my attention. But I didn’t suspect they were going to remove him.

They could always violate the law in the interests of doing what is right
Anybody can. But that is not the legal point here. The issue here is law. That is why everyone is in Court.

The way I like to see things, the human weakness and sinful inclinations ( I don’t mean outright perverse ) of a man are room enough for mercy. But being crafty and shady and insidious and calculating is what challenges a man’s esteem and trustworthiness.
If a public official for example is caught drunk, sexual misconduct, p&&ing on the sidewalk or acting outside the bounds of law to HELP someone: nobody is perfect. But insidious conduct that causes HARM under the cloth of law, is unforgivable. I suppose the mercy part doesn’t apply to GB because the wrong conduct reflects on everybody else. Bu what would Jesus do?

Otherwise, there would be no point to all of the subpoenas.
No point is needed. State law requires reporting and Federal law is ambiguous. What WT has openly expressed at such like proceedings in the past is that they need to clarify the law. Obviously if the law did not protect confidentiality, there would be no legal grounds to do so. The point is that it is the law that protects abu$ers communication from being disclised to law enforcement and not the WT.

If a client admits to committing a crime, that is not privileged information and it is not a crime to report that to the police.
In the US it is. Even if the lawyer went with the client to see the bodies of his victims, it is confidential. It is not confidential if a client tells his lawyer about future crimes. As far as US law, your post is a bunch of boloney or as TD puts it, you are equivocating, as Jeffro putts it: you are lying, or lying to yourself. All it takes is a Google search to confirm what I said. If you refuse, you are lying.I never said that violating confidentiality is a crime it is a civil wrong and the offending party would have to defend an expensive lawsuit.

Neither of those prevent a lawyer or clergyman from reporting a crime. Doing so is not a violation of privacy.
LOL.
Nonsensical. Criminals go to lawyers because they commit crimes. Make sense? The lawyer can commit crimes too, eat a sandwich or even report the crime that his client admitted to him. But a lawyer disclosing privileged information that his client confessed to him privately can be be adjudicated as a violation of confidentiality and a lawyer may be found liable. Make sense? I’ve made my point. Believe as you wish.

Criminal acts are not protected by privacy laws.
They are. Client lawyer and penitent church. But you don’t see that.

Quite true. I believe that the government should not protect religious organizations at the expense of the safety of children.
You don’t get it because of your attitude. The government does not protect religious organizations, it protects the criminals ( their confidential information from being disclosed).

So, 70 (CE) doesn’t ironize the 70 year desolation? The king of Babylon came in and razed Jerusalem, burned down the temple and stole the holy icons and the ark of the covenant and the Jews stayed in their homeland. The Aramaic books of the Bible and the work of Ezra can be explained away, Elvis is alive, they didn’t land on the moon, the earth is flat, JFK plot, like a conspiracy theory against what the Bible says over and over again that the Jews spent 70 years in Babylon.
