You still have to go out to meetings give talks service go to work. Might as well stay as elder or gb. What is the difference if you quit except loss of honor. The real reason is always he doesn’t qualify anymore whatever pretext reason or excuse is given. They don’t send one out of Bethel to go work in the field either because they pulled his name out of a hat. They don’t want him anymore there. Something is not right about the person. Either conduct, attitude, or selfishness or something he said or did. There is a reason why they get rid of someone label get rid of someone as you wish. It is a big dishonor not to be FDS anymore.

Unless this is history in the making with a new policy, nobody from the governing body in the past stepped down for health reasons or old age. They all died gb. There must be a disqualification even if some other pretext is used. No disrespect for the man. How soon people(jw) forget contributions and hard work (same as with RF.)

I think that besides the religious facet of this man, people don’t appreciate that he served in Vietnam and if he was in the battlefield that would explain if the man drank to k1ll then hurt and the pain and the horror and the shock. If you were there you know how many US soldiers were on d7rgs just to cope with the unbearable and if they came back alive to the US after a couple of tours, they became alc0h01ics or d7ug abusers. Anyway if the booze is true, being in the battlefield may explain and mitigate.
