I do not want Richie to feel bad now or to feel regret. I want him to be happy with his choice. I think that people with tatoos are victims. Now that one is tattoed I think that the person should move forward and enjoy his tatoos but to stop there with tatoos.

You mean that life is more enjoyable to you at prrsent with Tatoos? How in the world can scribbling and painting all over ones body permanebtly bring to anyone is a mystery to me.Tatoo prevention is not freedom deprivation or deprivation of. the enjoyment of life. Tatoos craze is only a passing fad of thetwos, otherwise expressed the year 2000 and all those twos in this century, that too!

anyone feeling a wee bit guilty about celebrating Thanksgiving and Xmas??
by Star Moore ini was feeling a bit guilty about celebrating as this is my 1st year out and i know the history of all the holidays and birthdays are pagan or bloody or idolatrous.. .
but i was thinking that it's not what someone made them in the past but what they are right now.. to us, at this moment.
am i going to sit down on thanksgiving.. and say, "i hate those indians, think i'll go kill some"..????

Great post star moore.
I do not feel giuilty about spending time and enjoying the holiday season. I do not celebrate the religiuos aspect of the holidays. I do not participate in paganism and I do not advocate it either. I had a great meal today with my family. We ate gobbler with stuffing sweet potatos cranberries cider apple pie pumpkin pie and other goodies but I do not clebrate thanksgiving. I look foward to christmas and new year.

Terry, I agree with you. I also feel the same way as you do. Although, I also react privately, I honestly admit that I judge people with Tatoos and I think that you must also even though you don't admit it or mabe you are not aware of it. This is what I mean when I say that I judge people with tatoos: I cannot suppress thinking or concluding, or judging that such persons lack sense in getting tatoos.
Richie whats done is done and thank God that you are healthy and alive. I would rather have a live son with tatoos than an ill one or a dead one, but tatoos sadden me very much.
Richie you are very young. When my father counseled me or challenged my thinking, he had this saying: "The devil is much wiser because he is old and has been around for a long time than from being the devil."

I know that many have directed questions or made expressions for me to answer. I am not ignoring anyone and although I have rsponded to some individual posts. I dont have the stamina to answer everyone. I hope to talk to evryone as time goes on in other of my posts or their posts or maybe even on this post.
Is everyone here with tatoos exjws? I find it hard to believe that an xjw will do this.

jgant, I do not take offense at what people belive or think. People are free to belive and think what they like,no?
THe US Supreme Court ruled in a landmark case: Metropolotan LIfe vs the WTS, to paraphrase the substance of that decision regarding door to door preaching " that people have the right to disseminate their views no matter how offensive those views seem, but such freedom shall not compromise people from feeling secure in their homes.." hence the law sets limits to freedom.
I also feel as the US Supreme Court, that there should be a limit to freedom. Although I do not take offense at views, I am however offended at conduct or acts that are against my feelings or principles.
Richie, I see that you are a young man, and as you have stated, your dad has tatoos so it makes sense to me that got them because your dad had them and more than that is just another step. Do you want your children to get tatoos?
I respect all posters here and I do not take offense at the posts on this thread. One reason why tatoos are so offensive to me is because they are so permanent.

Intersting Moshe, but I said MAINSTREAM judaism. BY they way, I love jews. I know jewish thought. I understand jewish thought but I do not always agrre with the conclusions but human to human I relate better to jews.

Moshe there are many jews that are agnostic and even atheists, but mainstream religious judaism is not deterred in faith by wii or the jewish fate throught history. Jews resolutely belive in their covenant with God and accept everything that happens to them. THey admit they that they do not know why God allows evil and believe that it is for our own good and we will see the wisdom God on this later on. Jewish faith is strong. Jews resolutely believe that God communicated with them in the past, in fact the basis of Judaism is the written and oral law which they belive that the Almighty communicated with Moses. THey try to communicate with God according to what I ask many but mone can say with certainty that God communicates with them.
