Apostates do you still read Watchtower literature? And if so Why do you?
by booker-t ini was just wondering how many ex-jws still read wt literature and if so why.
i have noticed alot of posters here know what the lastest wt or awake magazines are talking about and i was just wondering why do you bother to read that stuff since you left the wt?

Who are you calling apostates? Do you know the meaning of the term? Anyway, some people on this forum are jws some active some not and others have left the org, some kicked out, however, there is a common interest in jw thought and wts doctrine here. Remmenber, some past "apostate" teachings are today's new light and truth!
"Apostates" saw in advance the generation teaching failure and just as they thought, the wts discarded the teaching in 1995 with the wt study article.
There is a lot of interest by those in the organization and those out in the publications which reveal wts present thinking and some like to obsereve how little by little the publications change doctrines and in time they line up with the apostate's apostate view on things.
Others here cant get the magazines anymore because they dont go to meetings so it is great to get the spiritual food on this forum. ...And a lot of other reasons...

Knorr Was He Married? Any Info?
by uwishufish ini was under the impression that he was married to a fairly attractive woman who was his younger by about 20+ years.
i heard this from an ex-bethelite.
just wondered if it was true?

Yes indeed, NHK was married to Audrey. She was a petite thin sis, short dark hair. Although she was much younger that Bro K, He was well preserved for his age and did not look too old for her at all. In my opinion, she wasn't very attractive. She did not profess to be of the "heavenly class". As it was stated previously, shortly after NHK death in 1977, AK moved to the WT farm were she remarried.

What is your story?
Should you have gone to a psychiatrist for helo?
Perhaps you regret not getting a college ed or pursuing a career?
Would your loved one be alive today?
Was your good name ruined because your sins were made public?
Do you regret not having children?
Do you regret not getting married?
Are you having difficulties now or would you be in a better position now had you not followed the wts policy?

Will Jehovah's Witnesses ever form a SECT?
by Fisherman inunlike all other religions including jews, mormons, and sda, there is only one jw movement.
indivuduals that leave the wts cannot organize another jw like religion.
i think that another jw religion would get the wts very angry.

I did a web search on Charles Taze Russel. I was surprised to see how many websites there are not jw that defend and say so many good things about him. Here is one of them:

I also feel that I am spinning my weels. No matter how much money I make, I have too many expenses and the bottom line is that I feel that I am not going anywhere with this economy. Overseas prices for products keep going up I cannot raise my prices because of more and more competition. I have to absorb price increases now to the point where I am loosing money on some items and must raise my prices. But the increases now are ridiculous, some 100 percent. Chinese goods now which were cheap cheap, now cost much more money. Everything costs more, even glass which is made from sand because of the increaased cost of energy. Since salarird saty pretty much the same, people cannot afford to pay so much for goods. People first pay most of their money on rent, then utilities and cell phone bills and gasoline. What little is left they spend on goods or charge it to a never ending credit card debt.
Real Estate keeps its value but who can afford it? It is ridiculous to pay a million dollars for a chicken coop. If one pays rent, then the landord is actually a silent partner.
After paying wages, taxes, rents, utilities, fines, gas, doctors, lawyers, medicine, and all the other bills, there is nothing left. I dont know how people manage.Better to go on some goverment relief and the heck with it all I agree with Simon, this economy is sinking. This thing keeps getting worse year after year. I keep waiting to see if something gets better but things get tighter and tighter. I feel the pinch.

First of all, thanks for that intersting link. Very informative
I was wondering regarding the Romanian jw movement, how do they stand on blood transfusions? I am curious because I believe that "Dracula" or Vlad Dracul was from Romania and perhaps this old national figure may have influenced the sectarian blotherhood there now. Off topic, does anyone know? Their websire does not say much about their doctrines. On Topic, Any info showing secterian movements contribute to this topic.
I have no way of authenticating this movement but if it is real but if it is real, it seems to be a start

Blondie, hardly, a drop in the bucket is a "narrow" definition. I guess to fit your definition a couple of people even one person can form a sect and technically, maybe you are right.
But when I think of a sect, (and I often smile when when I think) I picture a large group that breaks of and froms a similar religion maintaining some fundamental characteristics.
I would not consider a bunch of ex jws that hate the wts and now have other views totally different from jw a jw sect.
But, if an organized group formed, with their own annoined and men and women elders an they preached and held meeting and office, or something like that.. That I could consider a sect. But technically, maybe you are right.

Hence, Blondie, it doesn't seem to you that the jws cannot form a sect.

Funny that you would be the first one to post on this thread Blondie. You were the first one that came to my mind when I decided to post this topic. I pictured you as the wt conductor. I smilead as I though.
Anyway, I know that many tiny groups form, but that is not waht I mean. I mean maintaining the identity JW but of a different sect.
