if he has been convicted of child abuse and doing a prison sentence , would she tell any newly interested ones where her husband was?

According to the wts ,the only grounds for scriptural divorce (free to remarry) that the wts recognizes is for porneia. If the child abuse that you mention falls within the wts definition for porneia then it meets wts requiremenst for scriptural divorce.

WTS or its agents CANNOT advise any individual to divorce for any reason whatsoever as far as I know. That is a personal decision and the wts will not meddle, however, the wts WILL tell you that you do not qualify to get a scriptural divorce and if you reject such counsel and remmary you may get df.

Regarding what to tell others about your mates sins or crimes, that is up to you, the wts may revoke your "privilidges" if they feel that you are bringing reproach on the cong or on the wts. Wise to keep private info to yourself.

The wts is also loyal and supportive to any active member, no matter how vile and dispicable that memeber has been. If such has been deemed repentant or weak, the wts ussually does not abandon such person seeking wts help.

some people want to up the minimum wage to $10 - $12 per hour!

what are your thoughts about this?.

Raise the minimum wage to any amount that you like, dont cry when mild costs 50.00 per quart, bread 20.0 per loaf. a new car, 100,000.00. REnt 5,000 per month.

If the cost of labore goes up, then the cost of living will go up even higher. Others wil hire illegal aliens oor have labor doen over seas.

Those of you making minimum wage, why dont you learn some skill or get more education?

In the US, the issues that you mention have already been decided by the Courts in my opinion in favor of the wts. Those decisions are "case law". It is a waste of time and money to bring such like cases before the Courts again. You can try and you can perhaps find a lawyer that with hesitation will take your money? but not on contingency I bet. You will have to put out a sweet retainer.

BETHELITES - Whatever Became of?

i often times wonder what happened to certain bethelites that i ran around with during my 1990s tenure there.

while there are still a few left there, the greater majority of them aren't there for various reasons (marriage, disillusionment, left the borg, etc).

a couple of cats i wonder about - there was one brother who i believe was from kansas, who got his fingers cut off in a printing press.

The wts has a catch all regarding the hs and appointnents. The only say nw that, only when a bro has spirutual qualifications then in can be sai that he was appointed by hs or something to that affect. What they are saying is that if the bro appointed did not qualify to begin with he was not appointed by hs.

like i said on a previous thread, this is my first cat.

this cat always follows me around and demands to be petted all of the time.

he wants to be carried all of the time.

When my cats meows, he sounds like he wants something from me, I feel so sorrry for him,. I dont know what to give him. He stops meowing when I speak to him and caress him. Thanks for the info Restatrangled and lady lee. It is a relief to know that he is ok.

I really like this cat. I would never sell him, not even for 50 dollars. He is very agile with his legs and paws. He bends his paw at the joint about 90 dgrees and has the nerve to reach out using his bent paw as a hand and grabs my hand or arm toward him and pets himself with my hand. When I come through the door, he yells meow!!!!!! in desperate excitement and runs towards me. In all of my years I never knew cats were like this. I probably would not even a take a larger offer for this cat

He always jumps on my lap and never takes no for an answer. The only way I can get him to scoot is: I have a bottle with water and a little alcohol. When he is on my lap and I want him off. I open the bottle he gets near to it and smels it and then he jumps off and runs off. I close the bottle and when he comes back I show him the bottle and and shake it and say no!!

But he keeps comming back after a while for another round again and again. I dont spray him with water because even drenched he keeps cmming bak and that doesnt get im off. I dont want him to catch a cold He caught a cold once and it took a long time for him to get better.

This cat staays inside. Never allowed out. He can get stolen!

I remmember those gleaners. Funny I was jus thinking about that. There were a couple of couples that gleaned every lunch. Never the young single. I wonder why No one ever gleaned at supper.?

2008 Memorial...How will Brooklyn fix this MASSIVE blunder?

....brooklyn forgot that this year is a leap year in the hebrew calendar, and passover begins @ sundown on april 20th of 2008. now, will they fix this mistake, or come up with some crap excuse on why its not on nissan 14th this year?

either way, they are in a massive jam.

i remmember that last year or the year before that, the memorial did not correspond with Nisan 14 passover. Jews had the passover on one date jws had passover sveral days after. The wts said that memeorial does not commemorate the passover I vaguely remmember.
