  i applaud anyone, male or female, who overcomes shallowness and looks at a person’s deeper qualities, especially in regard dating and marriage.

  the movie and fashion industry does much to institute shallowness to the point that, in my opinion, it promotes outright discrimination and judgmentalism even as they give lip service to tolerance..

  on the other hand, among jehovah’s witnesses, there seem to be a preponderance of incompatible marriages.

  Is this the last chance for inactive and df'd ones?

  hi all, just wondering if there's anything going around about the elders receiving instruction from the society to give inactive ones and disfellowshipped ones one last chance to come back?

  i ask because i have a still in family member that i received a message from, and urging me to go back.

  the elders are apparently saying there is no time left.

  the main qualities that this environment promotes, in order to be of marriageable material, is:

  And if you ain't, should you be forced to stay single? I look for physical attractiveness first no matter how "marriageable" the person seems, but I suppose that if beauty is not your gift, you get another shot with your conduct and hours. I would not marry a woman for her money, her brains or spirituality-although it does not hurt if a woman has such virtues, but not for those reasons.

  JW Stand On Concealed Carry

  if a jw wanted to get a concealed carry permit, would the society have any moral or ethical problems with it?

  in other words, if one of your elders noticed you were carrying concealed, would they be apt to just ignore it or would they counsel you on it?

  carrying a gun for personal protection was a definite no-no.

  As I posted earlier, a JW packing circa 1982 triggered the WT to write an article about owning guns back then. Reading more recent articles it appears that wt position may have changed a bit, But true what you said prior to 1982 lot of JW owned guns for hunting animals, etc.

  Do you think more JWs have guns than is generally thought?

  No. Any individual can live a double life though, but it would be an exception.

  those alive in 1914 would still be alive obviously it didn't and jws have to believe in an overlapping generation.

  the jw/wtbt's anti-scriptural & anti-christ teaching that "a person's own death wipes out their sins" (based on their lie that romans 6:7 is to be interpreted literally) appears to have had a little wedge inserted into it.

  despite making numerous accurate references to the fact that 1st century christians had figuratively died to sin, the svengalis at the top of the brooklyn pyramid point-blank refuse to discuss/cite/quote romans 6:7 and its true meaning.

  How do you know- or are you guessing.? WT claims to be guided by God, so their commentary is based upon that, but other than that, it is just a guess-unless you know.

  conceal carry license

  In one big bad city, a carry license document is nothing more than one color printing on white paper. Judge ID is also white paper black type, MIT degree is very simple: only the MIT is in red color and the school insignia is also red, not much to the paper either...The power is not the document.

  In terms of money and peace of mind, it is cheaper to be robbed than to kill a robber not give him the loot.
