Never seen a JW become irritated because of Babylonianism. Imagine praying to the virgin Mary or mother Theresa or even some of the saints that the Pope debunked or removed many years ago or some statue or cross in a church. The Bible states that Jesus was resurrected to heaven but as far as all of these so called saints and virgins...who knows??? Maybe they ain't saints and maybe they have not been resurrected yet or maybe they are frauds.

How to Irritate JWs: The Catholic Way
by Hernandez inwhat's the greatest advantage in becoming a roman catholic after leaving the jehovah's witnesses some 17 years ago?
why, it's the way it totally irritates people and really pushes their buttons...that is, if you are one of the unfortunate jehovah's witnesses who happens across my door during field service.
i have developed several techniques to make it very frustrating to the unwary witness who hopes to make headway at my house.

g-jobbing was shut down circa 77. It was not a rare practice. I knew a fo who did 40+ after bethel service. It was do-able and became easier from the changes that released the 76 Mayflower. Seems to me that the mayflower resulted from 1975 and also from the amended contract from 4 years to 1 year; whoever wanted to leave was free to go and they did. Then work hours were shortened and Sat was only 1/2 day. Depending on where you worked though, the only risk was, so late at night, getting mugged or killed on the street or riding the subway.
I have seen old men return to the org 40 years+ after leaving, some left to go to the army, etc., then they decided to return and it took a while to be accepted back but they did it.

the new understanding
by heathen inhi guys , i know i was never a favorite here and haven't posted in awhile ... question .
what do you think of the new understanding of , " this generation " they seem to go in circles on this one big time , once 1914 generation was almost gone they said they didn't know what it meant and now in the new publication the generation includes the second generation after 1914 .... i agree they don't know what they are talking about and this is just another control move .
any comments ?.

Could you quote a pre 2010 WT source on the interlapping generation please.
"people living contemporaneously" -CTR
Were you drunk when you wrote that? It makes no sense at all
In other words: Given that 1914 is the generation that does not pass way, from that WT doctrinal position, only contemporary anointed have not passed away to make the WT 1914 generation teaching still valid.
As I've asked you before - what happens at the end of next year when you've suggested it runs out? Will you finally give up on the WT?
I have my conclusions and you have your opinions; and what will happen to you when you see? The wt no longer sets dates; my previous post that you are alluding to expressed only a guess; I already told you that.

What is the purpose of life?
by slimboyfat inwhile reading the magazines the other day it occurred to me that jws never really had a very good answer to that question.
because it was aimed at young people and it said something along the lines, "if you believe in god you have a purpose, but if you don't believe in god your life has no purpose or meaning".
i think that is a faulty analysis of the situation.

The purpose of life then is to find a way to be god.
What I really meant to say is:The purpose of life then is to find the means to be god.

The Watchtower should be scared of Hillary becoming President
by Coded Logic inin many countries around the world the realization of how reckless the jws can be towards child endangerment and, more broadly, family safety, has started to take hold.
the results from the preliminary findings of the australian royal commission and the case being made in the united kingdom - which may remove the watchtowers tax exempt status - are both prime examples of this.
unfortunately, as the wt is headquartered in the united states any actions taken against the society will ultimately be limited in scope for such outside countries.. however, if hillary clinton should become president, i think there's a very good chance the wt could face serious and very far reaching legal action.

Yeah they should be
Might be for those that worship their luggage. Historical burden of proof of the survival of jw does not show that.

Considering the scenario that God does not exist:
IF God does not exist then Justice is on the same scale as fecal matter; love and other human virtues mean nothing, they don't matter. Their attempt to modify human conduct is a mere ploy used by the mechanics that drive the universe to achieve its means. The purpose of life then is to find a way to be god

Oops, I did it again! Flag placed in the KH: Chile 2016
by ILoveTTATT2 inmy friends,.
what has become now a yearly tradition for me: getting the videos/photos of the flag in chile for their national holidays.. this is the 2016 version, i believe the clearest example yet:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b94j3lmqx_w&feature=youtu.be.

Funny, the building with the kh sign is locked. Doesn't mean it ain't a kh but does not prove it is a kh either. I saw lots of flags at rented convention buildings. JW do not salute flags but if compulsory to hang em in and out of kh, it might be a better choice than being killed -or locked up like the kh in the posted photo. Seems as abuse of power for Caesar to force non secular religions to brandish flags.

Seems to me that JW are not afraid of any human ruler or look to such for their survival.

Depends upon how normal is being defined. The Bible condemns homosexuality.
