  How to argue with a JW who says the org never said the end in 75

  i have argued with several jws who are now being trained to deny the org ever said the end in 75, what is your approach?.

  WT never said outright that "the end" would come in 1975 but the literature and thinking circa 1975 implied that if it did it, the event would converge with Bible chronology; but the wt also concurrently published in the ASI book that the time of creation of Eve and the end of 6th Creative day was an unknown variable that was a factor affecting any conclusions about 1975.- Fisherman

  is it possible that trump may play a part in the great tribulation?.

  Or perhaps we're just making this up as we go along

  It does not seem at all possible to me because no one could be able to orchestrate all of the elements that fit so perfectly. I am a very skeptical and analytic person and I am convinced -and not because the wt says so.

  The irony of the original serpent eating dust all the days of his life. It is an allusion to the fate of the Satan in the last days. Seems that Satan had a penchant for the earth.

  WT never said outright that "the end" would come in 1975 but the literature and thinking circa 1975 implied that if it did it, the event would converge with Bible chronology; but the wt also concurrently published in the ASI book that the time of creation of Eve and the end of 6th Creative day was an unknown variable that was a factor affecting any conclusions about 1975. The wt has not backed away from 1975 as the 6000th year from the creation of Adam; wt still stands on the date, and if the 7th creative day is 7000 years in length, it would fit if the Millennium would start 6000 years after the end of the 6th creative day -so that 6000 years of evil + 1000 years of restoration and killing death ("death where is thy sting?") God can finally proclaim the 7th day as GOOD, same as he did with all the other creative days. It fits nicely IF wt chronology is correct. According to Genesis we are still living in the 7th day of Creation (7th day is God's rest day.) 6000 years + 1000 years= 7000 years= 7th Creative day= God's day of rest.
  

  -But wt never outright proclaimed that 1975 would in fact be the end. I never recall that.

  Just a thought since we are on the topic of the GT; since the devil has been cast down to earth, is t possible to go to mars or to the moon or to outer space to avoid being tempted by the devil; and did such astronauts experience any relief from the devil when away from the earth?

  this info is from the article "who is leading god's people today" feb 17 study edition.. to help them disseminate bible truth in various languages, zion’s watch tower tract society was legally incorporated in 1884, with brother russell as president.

  * he was an outstanding student of the bible, and he fearlessly exposed as false such doctrines as the trinity and the immortality of the soul.

  he discerned that christ would return invisibly and that “the appointed times of the nations” would end in 1914.. pretty sickening article overall about how badass the gb is, though this little gem is printed as well, paragraph 12. the governing body is neither inspired nor infallible.

  There is no admission of error in doctrine in the above by the wt. WT has always said that CTR was off by timing and not by doctrine when challenged. Neither does the related WT study article referenced on this thread outright admits that wt HAS erred but only that wt can. Whether or not the wt has actually erred is left to the reader of the related article to conclude for himself.

  Fossilized foot prints, how do they explain it away?

  so there have been many sets of fossilized human footprints found in africa, italy, europe, britain and new mexico.

  these foot prints are thought to be anywhere from 20,000 to 2 million years old.

  so what do christians and jws do to try to explain these away.

  Actually, trillions of years or even older. The footprints "are thought" to have existed before the universe was formed. And nothing caused them - according to Krauss.

  Science can estimate the age of the substrate where the impression was formed.
