  please, let's discuss this subject without attacking one another.. it appears that trump has won a victory that no one expected.

  is it possible that trump may play a part in the great tribulation?.

  there are some who believe trump is one of the most unqualified of men to ever be elected president of the united states.

  Decades ago when I studied Calculus ( and I figured that I would never use that stuff) by pure chance and although not being the sharpest tool in the shed, I discovered a pattern, a short cut in solving a particular kind of problem; I remember I showed my findings to the good professor, and he was very excited about it, and put it to the test, and it failed -it was only a coincidence, but he commended me for having such a sharp eye and spotting it while everybody else overlooked it.

  Those enlightened look for evidence coming from God and find it.

  With JW, it is not about the evidence -it is about the promise. If an angel came down, or if the heavens opened and JW saw Isaiah's vision,or any remarkable evidence imaginable, it would not help JW faith one bit -true it would be comforting and reassuring if facing death or pain and difficult times -but to JW it aint about evidence, it is about when will relief come -and that requires faith, not evidence from God.

  When you stop & think about it ,why would Gods chosen people in the Old testament need an army ?

  as the op states why would israel /jewish nation need to have an army at all ?

  if they were the chosen people as the bible states under a theocracy , why would the men of israel need an army .?

  to protect them ?.

  pon, If you have read my posts, you could tell that I can differentiate fact from delusion. Proof is the promise for relief -if that is any comfort to you. A promise without proof is putting faith in something that does not exist -don't take my word for it. It only takes a little faith to get mountains of evidence. Remember my words, please.

  Smid, great point about the army. But as for God ordering his chosen to exterminate their enemies and baby snakes (offsprings of vipers) I think you would change your mind if it happened to you being kicked out of your land or killed by all grown up baby snakes. For example Amalek. I don't think you have experienced being harassed or tortured or being pinned all of your life. You need to think about this a little bit.

  No, PoN. If you could only show an iota of faith, something, anything, perhaps that would be a basis for him to give you the proof you need backwards and forwards. I would not say this to you if I did not know for a fact.

  i have always been told as a jw that trinitarians, particularly baptists, are just the worst people to argue with out in service.

  i have always been told it was the world with a veil over their eyes.

  the hypocritical irony is that so many witnesses are completely stubborn and willing to believe in magic before they believe anything against their dogma.

  So again Fisherman, how often do you pray that your flight will not be in winter or on a Sabbath? What mountains around Judaea are you planning to run to. Do you bring an extra Jacket with you when you do roof work?

  Van, I do not see how parallels ('just as in the days of 70') do not apply in a modern day fulfillment of 70. parousia is also a parallel of of the flood as Jesus points out similarities above. That is how I see it and thanks for your post. I understand your view.

  Van, your source and I got almost identical results. Isn't that exciting! With a slight of the hand they purport to show that the 7.1 billion is a result. It is not. It is a known variable. All they did was to solve for the yearly growth rate k knowing to start off with 7.1 billion and going back to 8 people (they used 6) in 4500 years and got < 5 percent k average and work backwards as schnell points out and then show the 7.1 billion. Albeit it has been shown mathematically that 6 people can increase exponentially to the population we have today. And that is the point. It is not a miraculous growth.

  Schnell isn't AiG the people with dinosaurs in the ark? I laugh ever time. Video you posted is colored. Need that changing rate figuring that 8 PATRIARCHS can have 400 roughly children in 100 years with those children being born having children being born, etc. not using death as a variable. Remember Schnell that reproduction was their business. God wanted the earth populated.

  Van, I did 8 people including Noah and his wife and the exponential I used was 4,386 which is the number of years from 2370 till today. Knowing todays population is a cinch because it becomes a known variable and one solves for a constant growth working backwards which turns out to be less than 1 percent a year. Using the round number 4500 with 6 people it works to be less than 5 percent using your reference. My problem is that using that constant, you only get a couple of people born till the pyramids. Actually, the growth rate changes as I have pointed out. I do not understand what is meant by doubling as posted, just plugging in numbers into an equation. What I cannot figure out is the curve as the children born reach reproduction age every year after the first 13 or 14 years from 2370. So what is needed is the yearly changing rate of population till the pyramids to figure. I estimated about 3270 max in 40 years using 8 people not 6 rounding it off to 3000. But the actual changing rate roughly is needed to answer Schnell. That is what I like to see, if some one can figure that out.
