  How can a dead chicken atone for your sins?

  the article says that the dead chickens are given to the poor but i was told that the chickens are thrown into the garbage.

  (who could possibly eat a chicken full of sin?).

  Another chicken vid.

  In theory, if sins can be transferred to a chicken, shouldn't anyone eating such a chicken, in doing so, have the sins transferred to the person eating the chicken?

  It is interesting that this is a ritual and not a sacrifice and animals that were used for korban back in the Temple cannot be used, only a "clean"animal that was not used in the a Temple for sacrifice. They say that a fish would do the trick but according to Judaism fishes don't have souls so... Thanksgiving, you are next.

  How much in total do you think the W.T.S has payed out in child abuse cases??

  they have settled a lot out of court with gagging orders both ways so we will never know how much was payed out there.but some have been made public.

  any ideas how much in total?.

  And how much money does the victim get to keep from the settlement amount after subtracting lawyers, doctors and all of the other expensive bills? Maybe Conti took home 400k - 600k after paying all the bills to try the case and that is not a lot of money considering that she is the victim and most of the money should go to the victim.

  how do we explain the marital role with what paul said in 1 cor.

  “but i want you to realize that the head of every man is christ, and the head of the woman is man, and the head of christ is god.” (niv).

  read a few chapters earlier at 1 corinthians 7 to see what paul does say about the relationships between husband and wife.

  Biblical incidents that bothered me.

  i wanted to discuss the (supposed) biblical events that disturbed me a lot when i was a jw.

  these incidents were just read and discussed in the kingdom hall as if these are normal and justified, which clearly weren't.

  perhaps this led to my awakening.

  below i set out the case that the jw demographic in usa has a steadily decreasing combined income, and as a consequence, has less money to donate.

  not only is the flock not growing, the flock is producing less wool for the borg to fleece.

  For a century, thousands of JW marched on Court Street in Colombia Heights, 24/7, wt winning every Court battle by the way. Now, wt changed their position, they moved away from Court Street in downtown Brooklyn and are at Warwick. Will wt, in the end game, be defeated for financial reason, etc., or will wt win the final war?

  Can some one please explain Deuteronomy 23:12-13

  at a bible study when i was younger i read this scripture out loud and totally did with a straight face realising what they were talking about halfway through it.

  i think i start reading in verse 12 "when evening falls, he should wash with water, and then he may return to the camp at sunset.+ 12 a private place* should be designated for use outside the camp, and there is where you should go.

  13 a peg should be part of your equipment.

  in San Diego and having to deal with this from householders as you go from door-to-door?

  Watchtower Loses an Appeal

  publication court of appeal, fourth appellate district division one state of california osbaldo padron, plaintiff and respondent, v. watchtower bible and tract society of new york, inc., defendant and appellant.findingwatchtower has abused the discovery process.

  it has zealously advocated its position and lost multiple times.

  yet, it cavalierly refuses to acknowledge the consequences of these losses and the validity of the court's orders requiring it to produce documents in response to request number 12. and, in a further act of defiance, watchtower informed the court that it would not comply with the march 25, 2016 order 39 requiring it to produce documents responsive to request number 12. the court, following lopez, supra, 246 cal.app.4th 566, as an incremental step toward terminating sanctions if watchtower persists in its unjustified conduct, imposed monetary sanctions.

  I'm surprised that WTS hasn't moved the files out of the USA and claimed US Courts have no jurisdiction regarding them.

  Court Order to produce the files in the US would be valid.

  Or, have someone destroy them who then flees the US.

  WT would be responsible.

  It appears that at this time wt does not budge from its position that the court order is not valid. The case is not over; Let's see what happens but sanctions and pressure tactics and wt criticism don't make the Court Order any more valid than it is if it is not valid to begin with.
