@ the States, the way the law is crafted, once a person uses deadly physical force or offensive force, he stops being the victim. If the prosecutor doesn't get him, a civil lawsuit for using excessive force will, and if not, then vengeance from the family of the dead or injured person. It is not only cheaper but healthier in the long run for a victim to part with the most valuable of possessions to armed robbers vs killing or seriously injuring such assailant.

Pacifism is Morally Indefensible
by cofty ini have been surprised recently to see so much support by ex-jws for the watchtower's refusal to fight and kill.
in my opinion it is a vice masquerading as a virtue.
of course war should always be a last resort but there are occasions that it has to be done.

Which is not always the best thing to do
It is sometimes better to submit to rape, heh? Also, consider HIV and Hepatitis.
a particularly selfish form of hypocrisy to expect others to defend you when you are unwilling to
Based on Christianity it is forbidden for JW to go to war. How is that hypocrisy for an individual? Or for the church?

Well, if you buy something and use it outside the parameters it was designed for, it is going to break. You are free to use it however you like but you did not designed it, someone else did.
Why are things the way they are? They just are. Someone else's baby, not yours.

Should private citizens be allowed to video record law enforcement?
by Fisherman ini saw an article in the news yesterday that laws are going to be passed subjecting the police to being recorded by anyone while performing their duty or enforcing the law and encourages citizens to sue if they interfere.
some law enforcement agents become angry and confiscate recording devices from people recording them while making an arrest, etc.. it does seem that the work that the police and other government agents do is public and not private or confidential so there should be nothing to hide from the cameras.
on the other hand, how can one distinguish being shot by a camera or by a weapon until one is hit?.

Let's say you are driving by and stop at light then someone in plain clothes puts a gun to your head and tells not to move. He says someone with your description just robbed a bank. He does not identify himself. He then instructs you to get out of the car and to put your hands behind your back. He put handcuffs on you. You demand to see ID, he refuses. He searches you and then he searches your vehicle. He finds nothing. He then apologizes and then let's you go.
You are lucky to be alive or not in jail. Had you resisted he could have shot you. If you did not allow him to search your vehicle, he could have arrested you and planted evidence and bring dogs that signal that you have contraband in the car. Or they bring dogs anyway trained to signal that you have contraband even though you are as innocent as Jesus, then they plant the evidence. And off to jail or spend 5 years in legal proceedings fighting the case. So one better be nice.

he is required by law to notify her before he attempts to actually make the arrest.
You are wrong. Law enforcement can detain someone without telling the person she is detained. You are not free to go unless you ask the officer if you can.

Watchtower Lost Lopez Summary Judgement
by John Davis insuperior court of california,.
minute order.

"Summary Judgement" = "The decision is final.
Vid, as far as the lower court is concerned you are right but a Summary Judgement can be appealled.
...quit wasting the court's time.
How sweet of someone to tell their opponent at law to quit. If any case has legal grounds, the Court must make time. If they don't like it too bad. Each party must decide if they want to continue regardless of whether the court likes it or not.

The Cubans told me that when they banned it in Cuba, everybody lost weight. I wonder if there is any evidence that all of the US bans on NK is having the same effect.

Hell Exists
by Poppy520 inmany people of all denominations are beginning to believe that hell does not exist - but the bible supports the claim that it does.
examine this verse, one under nkjv and the other nwt:.
nkjv - matthew 25:46, "and these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.".

What devious mind and spirit it takes to craft such a special place of suffering for souls doomed to have been born. With no hope of salvation such tormented creatures would curse life and god day and night and such god would be forced to listen. Hell does not exist.
(It should exist for lawyers, judges and ex-wives.)
