  Are badness, disobedience, and rebellion part of the "perfect" human nature?

  when humankind will be perfect again after 1,000 years living in a paradise without being influenced by satan and demons, since "the number of these is as the sand of the sea" (revelation 20:8), a huge amount of "perfect" people, like adam and eve, will be bad, disobedient, and rebel being misled by satan once again.. does this mean that after living today surrounded by bad, disobedient, and rebel imperfect people, you will still live surrounded by bad, disobedient and rebel "perfect" people in a paradise?.

  does this mean that badness, disobedience, and rebellion are part of the "perfect" human nature considering the big amount of people involved ("as the sand of the sea")?.

  is it possible that we were originally created with such a strong desire and tendency to badness, disobedience, and rebellion as a result of a wise, loving, and perfect project?.

  disobedient, and rebel people who prefer dying instead of living after 1,000 years spent in perfect and paradisiac conditions.

  Hard to understand doesn’t seem it is a person’s fault to be that way. Who would want to do that? But that is the nature of having free will and that is the nature of reality. And there is nothing one can do about it. If you break the law, you die. Two plus two does not equal five. The problem is how can a perfect person choose wrong unless something is wrong with him to begin with.

  Interestingly, the insight book does not identify BTG the as World Empire of False Religion, it only suggests that it may be a religious entity. But the point here is that the destruction of BTG remains to be seen in the future. It didn’t happen already. Also, wt incorrect interpretations of prophecy doesn’t disprove prophecy.

  So does Star Trek. It's still not actually a prophecy about the future.

  The subject does not argue the inspired validity of Rev but only that the related verses are fulfilled in the future.

  But the Bible writers did not write their thoughts according to the premise that the Bible is inspired so they didn’t have to understand what they wrote or could have been mistaken about what they intended to mean. So, in-spite of their beliefs at the time as to the identity of Babylon the Great juxtaposition the mistaken beliefs about the significance of the “disgusting thing that causes desolation” which Jesus clarified later on, the prophetic identity of Babylon the Great may not be Rome. And of course, there is an argument explaining that.

  No. Revelation was about cryptic references to events that affected early Christians under the Roman empire during the first and early second centuries. Relevance to anything now, or to the future, is exactly zero.

  I don’t think so because the book of Rev actually does speak about the future, for example the 1000 year reign of Christ and after that, the final test for humanity after Satan is let loose, etc.

  i found this interesting topic on the current views among jws regarding the overlapping generation.. the posts are hilarious.

  how do most jehovah's witnesses explain the overlapping generation?.

  i've asked a couple of jws to explain the overlapping generation and they directed me to the website jw------org.. either they don't know, or they do know but don't want to discuss it because they know it's bogus and embarrassing.. either way, surely they must know that this just extended the last days another 80 years from the time fred franz died.

  It is valid. But not liked. It takes the tension and focus and anticipation away from length of generation part of the prophecy. It is disappointing for older ones and for ones waiting for immediate pending relief but to new ones coming in and young ones that are into being involved, the explanation is not unacceptable or out of the ordinary.

  Sounds more like an excuse to keep extending. Also, like when one thought he completed a task and and an inspector points reasons needed to keep working and go back to correct. That is what it feels like to people but nevertheless it is the only valid explanation given that the great tribulation will come using the year 1914 as a limit to the countdown. “Heaven and earth will pass away but my words will by no means pass away.” So it doesn’t depend on whether meaning makes sense but on the certainty of the prophecy—again based on circa 1914 generation being “the time of the end.”

  m, where does it say that?

  So, elite humanity goes to heaven, bad guys go to the other place, universe is just there and earth is inhabited by plants and animals. No more humans?
