  Seriously, sorry for my roughness but, I think I posted after my wife told me she had received this same article from a friend who's a bit conservative, probably never had any friends of color (until she met me, that is) and didn't have clue about how the rest of us grew up. What can I say, after reading what I wrote It seems I over-reacted.

  It's 4:30 am when I'm on here and sometimes I'm in a bad state of mind where I don't understand exactly the context of what's being said. I've actually stopped and erased a post because it didn't make sense. I call it goofy. My doctor says I'm still traumatised. Go figure...

  I cn't add a whole lot to what's been said. I'm thankful God has given me the life I have and I can't be angry at Him for this worlds wrongs it has dealt upon us...but I am angry at allowing/trusting in those people. Being born into it has molded my personality a certain way that is so deeply ingrained, I find it hard to cope but I will need to look at this question again...I will give it some more thought. It's not an easy question for me right now

  Yeah, I suppose most of this stuff is true and a child will block out the worst horrible memories because it won't survive if it the thinks the world is that horrific. I had a shitty, painful, lonely time myself. Besides, this article smacks of white American Republican male. Who needs this bullshit?

  do any of you have any knowledge of this afro-cuban hispanic cult/religon?.

  being latino myself i have a many friends and people who practice it's rights and rituals.

  many have claimed it really works and many think its just a bunch of old wives tales.. i've done a lot of reading and research and have attended a few of its bimbai's (parties) and have had readings done by it practioners.

  I was just reading when I was in Miami about how some of the local practitioners who won the right to perform animal sacrifice being it was their Constitutional right.

  Where I used to live in South Atlanta, my new neighbors had snuck a goat to the back of their house. Not too long after, there were entrails for everyone. I wonder if they were practicing Santeria...hmmmm?

  Hi Everybody!

  Thank you all so very much for the welcoming and the great info on this film. For those that weren't aware of the film, this is another 'little' chapter I recall from it:

  I recall one part of the film that talked about finding joy in simple things. (If you recall this part, please add to it). I believe they show folks participating in daily activities like gardening or maybe even painting. The one part that sticks out in my mind (I've already commented on this in private wih a fellow Forum member)is when they show a black family sittig around the kitchen table and a younge boy says 'That's some real goood chicken!' I remember my mother laughing in disbelief that the Society would portray the black brothers like that.

  I wish I could see that film again just to jar my memory so I might 'jar' my memory!

  radical, militant islamists or a "rogue state" like n. korea will eventually succeed in nuking one or more american cities.

  of this i am utterly convinced, it is not a matter of it "might" happen, the question is how soon will they succeed in pulling it off, and what will the fallout of such an event be, besides the loss of hundreds of thousands or perhaps millions of lives?.
